Yes, the other DS teams had success at Fall brawl. Their 12u coach expected to come in with their stacked team and roll to the championship. They got super salty when they quickly found out that someone else beat them at their own game. Stay classy Dulles South |
If you're so informed, what was the record of the 12U FYPC Boys team that won Fall Brawl in Rec this past spring? Exactly...they don't exist. |
So what? You went 1-4 and more importantly you acted like a clown in front of a bunch of 11-12 year olds. Be better. |
You forgot to add other than the 1 win against an overmatched team, they lost by 25 in their 4 losses, never scored more than 4. FPYC could've been travelling to grandma's for thanksgiving and they still would've gotten stomped. |

Why is this even an issue? It's shocking that MJ wouldn't enforce his own rules.
11. Teams in the Youth Divisions may have a maximum of 3 players NOT from their spring club. "Guest" players may ONLY be used if the player's "home" club has not entered. 12. No ALL-STAR or Off-season Club teams permitted. School and Community based teams only for high school & youth divisions https://www.laxnova.com/fall-brawl-nov/registration-policies |
No issues with stacked teams really but the 14u DS team was also a stacked team with Great Falls and other players. Don't kid yourselves about the "strength" of the program |
Don't be clueless. Why should someone who is running an event that benefits the lax community need to enforce it. How would he even be able to enforce it? How could he possibly audit a roster? It is not even an issue in HS so just tell MJ thanks for keeping this event running and move on. If you did not play for DS U12 be thankful those kids have to deal with a person like that in the Spring. |
Why even have policies? If you plan to ignore them, no need for window dressing. |

Guys this is a bunch of DC Urban myths.
I know for a fact that the U12 had zero stacked or recruited players on it. DS only brings DS kids. Once in a while if there isn't a goalie that can play they will bring in a goalie. That's for boys, girls, all levels. The DS commissioners are on it. To the early posts, the teams are often organized by a coach or parent that is willing to volunteer to coach the fall brawl team. In all of the ages for boys and girls in DS. Yes they will typically ask their friends or the best players. If you can only play 6v6 and only want to carry 12 players wouldn't it make sense to ask the best DS kids and/or the ones you are friends with. To this point, a few years ago I found my child on the outside of one of these teams. I started by own team and we had a 2nd DS team in the same bracket. Anyone can enter a team, if they aren't happy their kid wasn't invited. Go recruit 12 kids in the program and have your own team. |
The policies are stated on the registration. That is all he needs to do. If people ignore, it is on the coaches not the person who runs the event. Again, how could he even enforce it? How would anyone know the rosters other than the coaches? It is an honor system. If you cannot live with that do not sign up. |
No honor among thieves Dulles South. |
Care to comment on whether DS would be an organization that would look into a coach's representation of the club in say, a handshake line? |
That was almost believable. Minus the fact that there were guest players on the DS 12u team and who aren’t in the DS organization or area. It’s all fair game so it doesn’t matter, assemble the best team you can. The only ones that care are the DS 12u coaches who brought a plastic spork to a gun fight. |
| If you want to know who said coach was that all this is about, check out the 14u champion photo. Top right in photo. Hope you never are allowed to coach again |

Let’s name drop.
Who is he? |
