We live in Vienna. The majority of houses do not have any signs. Out of ones that do, there is a mix of both and more Trump signs than ever before. I think our immediate neighborhood is almost split 50/50. The kids will be trick or treating at every house and I really don’t care who’s voting for who. We are voting for Trump too.

We’ve lived here for 15 years and never had a neighbor discuss anything political with us and we would never bring up politics with anyone. We are still invited to neighborhood events.

Here's a little secret for the OP.

Virtually ALL of America is mixed R and D. The country is varying shades of purple. It's actually rare to have a neighborhood that is exclusively R or D.

Even here in blue DC I have a few neighbors that I know are MAGA. And even out in rural red state America where I grew up there are plenty of Democrats.

I find this very hard to believe. There are parents who put enormous BLM signs out not too long ago, advertising their kids’ lemonade stands with all profits to SJW causes. There are so many federal employees and contractors in Vienna that I am loath to believe that you’ve had no political discussions in 15 years.

This is a big contrast to when we go into NoVa for activities. Tons of Trump & Walz signs. It seems that Trump houses insist on putting up 5+ signs on their property; big overcompensating vibes. Lots of single Harris signs on lawns.

While we have plenty of Harris/Waltz signs in my neighborhood in just outside the Beltway in VA there are also a handful of very quiet Republicans. You only know them once they trust you to not judge them. Go about a mile away and then you get the 5+ Trump signs, but not in our clusters of neighborhoods. Part of that might be because the quiet Republicans are often also never Trumpers.

+1. Why would my Republican Dad put up a trump sign? He has voted for every Republican presidential candidate for my entire life but he detests Trump and would never vote for him. Trump is not a Republican.

In my neighborhood, it's solid Trump signs. Harris signs get driven over or covered by Trump signs. It's a glorious place to be. Everyone is nice to each other. No crime. Courtesy and friendliness. No bitter, childless, cat ladies, and if they are, they even vote Trump. Hell, even our alphabet friends, including a F2M trans are pro-Trump. Glad I left DC.

I posted that. We moved here when are kids were very little and most of the people we interact with have kids. They talked excessively over the years about which preschools, sports, AAP, which schools and which private schools, vacations, travel sports, which colleges they went to, private training for sports and more advanced club sports, tryouts, college applications, college college applications…

I can’t remember anyone discussing politics. People here are competitive and quite self absorbed. Discussing politics wouldn’t be that interesting for many. Discussing how to there their children into the best (whatever) has been the topic of conversation, unfortunately.
