Is your neighborhood mixed R and Ds?

Two flavors of douchebags. Sounds fun.

Well I guess that explains why there are no girls around to discuss anymore.

DC? A Maga frat house in DC sounds even worse than a Maga frat house anywhere else. I don't even think such a sorry thing exists.

Slightly more R and yes everyone gets along fine.

I weirdly know a number of people who were Bernie supporters and later supported Trump.

They support Trump and they probably voted for him again this week.

They’re just telling you what you want to hear so you don’t become unhinged.

This is true. Ask me how I know.

My neighborhood went slightly R in 2020. The street signs were like 5-1 R. This year the signs are only 2-1 R, it’s a big difference from last time. Not sure if the actual vote will change but the enthusiasm has.

89% Biden, 8% Trump. Sounds about right, if slightly higher than expected for Trump. I live in Dupont Circle.

Tbh, no one talks politics and not many advertise their views.

This is a big contrast to when we go into NoVa for activities. Tons of Trump & Walz signs. It seems that Trump houses insist on putting up 5+ signs on their property; big overcompensating vibes. Lots of single Harris signs on lawns.

While we have plenty of Harris/Waltz signs in my neighborhood in just outside the Beltway in VA there are also a handful of very quiet Republicans. You only know them once they trust you to not judge them. Go about a mile away and then you get the 5+ Trump signs, but not in our clusters of neighborhoods. Part of that might be because the quiet Republicans are often also never Trumpers.

+1. Why would my Republican Dad put up a trump sign? He has voted for every Republican presidential candidate for my entire life but he detests Trump and would never vote for him. Trump is not a Republican.

Lol. Trump is pulling at about 50% in the polls, yet we’re supposed to believe that there are all these Republican who aren’t voting for Trump.

So I sit next to several men in in adjacent department. I do not know them well. They started talking World Series and then switched to politics. I was surprised to hear them talk about the MSG rally and how appalled they were by the speakers there. That led them to bring up Jan. 6 and how terrifying that day was and how afraid they were of a second Trump term.

I did not expect that conversation from those men. All are in their 40s, I would say.

They're not voting for Trump. It doesn't matter whether you believe it or not.

lol, frats have changed or you just made this up. In my days we talked sports, girls, booze, and sometimes classes. No way are 90 frat guys displaying their political affiliation during this kids weekend trip. I’m going with made up or at least highly exaggerated. And my days included 2016, so I really doubt politics is the hot topic in a frat house.

you are very disconnected with the youth today, culture is now downstream to politics

counter culture is now conservatism, liberalism is seen as a rot and being politically correct is seen as an unnessary annoyance.

Speaking of "politically correct" being an unnecessary annoyance...the term "uncrewed" is replacing "unmanned" in many industries and organizations to promote gender inclusivity.

It should be noted that "unmanned" is already a gender-neutral term by dictionary definition and morphology. Man means person (gender neutral) in Anglo-Saxon. I am of the viewpoint that unmanned is fine and gender-neutral.

So how far do you go? No longer allowed to say "mankind" or "woman" or "fisherman".

So yes, there is definitely a counter-culture to this insane trend.

Lol. The grannies can handle a maga voter and the magas know it. Easily. No need for silly con games. There are plenty of Republicans not voting for Trump and perfectly willing to admit it .
