I live in Takoma Park. I’m voting for Trump!

It's entirely your right to do it. But understand free speech does not mean protection from social consequences. To me, it's the equivalent of posting a yard sign that says "I support a racist" and I would treat you accordingly.

I judge. Silently. I'd literally ever say anything, but I would think OP is stupid.

BTW you are probably Latina from one of the countries that had trouble with socialism. Trump brings us closer to that because he's a populist president. Look at his words in context of our history and country, not that of a different country.

OP here and yes I am a Latina immigrant but I will remind you that I am not a Republican, I am registered independent. I actually agree with Democrats about a lot of things and I don’t think they are “socialist” in that way.
My one issue is immigration. Try to understand from my perspective. I came here legally, I worked REALLY HARD to follow the process, obey all the rules, and work my way up once I got here. I worked hard and earned my citizenship to have safety and a better life for my family. Now our chaotic border policy, whether you agree that it’s “open borders” or not, they are letting in the very people I worked so hard to escape. Violent criminals and gangs that come here and get amnesty. You say that violent criminals are not allowed here and get deported but they are getting through the cracks and have shown up here in Montgomery County making it less safe. So I am voting for Trump to close all the holes in our border policy. Enough already. And I would be happy to engage with my neighbors if they wanted to know why I’m voting for Trump. If they knew my story they would understand how angry I am about this. Imagine spending over a decade of your life doing everything correctly and finally feeling yourself free of a country run by violent gangs only to have your new home open to the same gangs you thought you were safe from.

Trump tanked the Senate bipartisan immigration agreement when he was President, so not to give a "win" to anyone other than himself. Does that sounds like a guy who wants immigration reform, or a guy who wants to spew talking points?

No he didn’t “tank” any bipartisan immigration legislation when he was president. But Biden did fail to get bipartisan legislation passed. Some blame Trump for that. I think it’s more complicated - I think the Dems “tanked” Trump’s most effective policies (the big, beautiful wall and Remain in Mexico).

Biden said he would sign the bill. The bill was tanked because Trump told the GOP to tank it. Harris said she would sign it. Trump has made no such claim.

This post made me wonder what the polling is in Maryland and MoCo for Trump/Harris. OP's vote won't make a difference.

Blacks and Latinos are so desperate to not be lumped in with the riff raff of their own races, they vote Repub and start switching up. Its sad really, Repubs use them as pawns to prove they aren't as racist as Dems.

I am Latina, not R or voting for Trump but I am well aware that the Democratic party also uses us as pawns.

Fine, but you also don't have be a "pick me" for Trump and his followers who will never accept you.

I’m a conservative who has lived in Rockville for over 25 years. When I first voted in the area and discovered that you had to publicly identify your party affiliation, I switched my registration to Independent, because I didn’t think it was anyone’s business who I was voting for and because I realized a Republican affiliation was liable to create unnecessary tension with the neighbors.

Later, when my eldest was attending TPMS (in the McCain/Romney era), I was volunteering at the school and the other moms started chatting about politics. They were clearly liberals and I just smiled and held my tongue, feeling it was neither the time nor place to get into a political debate.

.

Blah blah blah TL;DR

You’re not as clever as you think you are, hon. The other moms spotted you the second you kept your mouth shut. They pegged you immediately as a GOP’r. They did ostracize you, you were just too dumb to notice it. We do the exact same thing to people like you in our PTSA. You can always spot these idiots, they’re the ones not jumping in the conversation or trying to change the subject to something else. We know your type. You’re not fooling anyone and we all talk about you the second you’re not around.

Your prose and writing style does not say “Latinx Immigrant” to me. You’re a fraud.

You do realize Trump was unable to stem the illegal immigration flow, right? The only thing he did was to cut LEGAL immigration.

So under a Trump administration, you likely would not have been able to immigrate. But plenty of "gang members" would still have made it over the border.

Keep tapdancing for the white man, you so desperately hate being latino

What a vile post. It essentially amounts to "you are the latino version of an uncle tom".

-black person who strongly dislikes hardcore liberal people for the exact reason you just displayed

Sounds like you’re eaten up with guilt yourself, and it’s coming through in your post. How many times have you been called an Oreo? Probably a lot I’m betting.

Get a clue. Progressives are the only friends you got. We’re the only ones that are going to help you. We’re the only ones who care about you. We’re the only ones who are going to advocate on your behalf. You will have nothing without our help. You’d be nothing without us. The repubs/cons literally want to make you a slave again. Do you not understand that? They want to own your Black ass like a pet. Wake up dummy.

True conservatives aren't pro trump.

They are now when the other option is a socialist who's trying to take away my private health insurance.

There is absolutely no truth to either Harris being a socialst or any attempt to take away your private health insurance. Did you get that from Fox News or Newsmax? Because those platforms are lying to you as they did about January 6, 2021.

I am 15:21, also Latina. I agree with much of what you are saying, especially illegal immigration. There are so many like us, but we are quiet about it because (see all of these comments). My family is voting for Trump. I am not. They said they are not voting for the person but for the ideas the party holds. We live in Maryland so ultimately it does not matter, but many Latinos feel the same way.
