I judge. Silently. I'd literally ever say anything, but I would think OP is stupid.

BTW you are probably Latina from one of the countries that had trouble with socialism. Trump brings us closer to that because he's a populist president. Look at his words in context of our history and country, not that of a different country.

OP here and yes I am a Latina immigrant but I will remind you that I am not a Republican, I am registered independent. I actually agree with Democrats about a lot of things and I don’t think they are “socialist” in that way.
My one issue is immigration. Try to understand from my perspective. I came here legally, I worked REALLY HARD to follow the process, obey all the rules, and work my way up once I got here. I worked hard and earned my citizenship to have safety and a better life for my family. Now our chaotic border policy, whether you agree that it’s “open borders” or not, they are letting in the very people I worked so hard to escape. Violent criminals and gangs that come here and get amnesty. You say that violent criminals are not allowed here and get deported but they are getting through the cracks and have shown up here in Montgomery County making it less safe. So I am voting for Trump to close all the holes in our border policy. Enough already. And I would be happy to engage with my neighbors if they wanted to know why I’m voting for Trump. If they knew my story they would understand how angry I am about this. Imagine spending over a decade of your life doing everything correctly and finally feeling yourself free of a country run by violent gangs only to have your new home open to the same gangs you thought you were safe from.

Trump tanked the Senate bipartisan immigration agreement when he was President, so not to give a "win" to anyone other than himself. Does that sounds like a guy who wants immigration reform, or a guy who wants to spew talking points?

No he didn’t “tank” any bipartisan immigration legislation when he was president. But Biden did fail to get bipartisan legislation passed. Some blame Trump for that. I think it’s more complicated - I think the Dems “tanked” Trump’s most effective policies (the big, beautiful wall and Remain in Mexico).

Keep tapdancing for the white man, you so desperately hate being latino

What a vile post. It essentially amounts to "you are the latino version of an uncle tom".

-black person who strongly dislikes hardcore liberal people for the exact reason you just displayed

You're a vile person. You hate blacks so much you're willing to screw them over by voting for Trump

How will voting for Trump screw over blacks? Please be specific in your answer.

Blacks and Latinos are so desperate to not be lumped in with the riff raff of their own races, they vote Repub and start switching up. Its sad really, Repubs use them as pawns to prove they aren't as racist as Dems.

Nobody knows that I’m voting for Trump. I’m a legal immigrant and registered independent. I want to exercise my right to free speech, and it would say a lot positively about America to be unafraid to dissent from the opinion of 90% around me. But do you think I would risk vandalism or social harm to my family?

Progressives do not tolerate diversity of thought especially when it comes to politics.

Shut up loser

Just proved my point.

So someone doesn’t agree with you politically, they must be “pawns.” Do you even hear yourself?

It might not be as bad you think. Takoma Park is the most progressive corner of the DMV. But progressives do not care for Biden/Harris or mainstream Democrats generally. Too centrist. Too pro-Israel. A Trump sign may be regarded as subversive, a bring the revolution signal. You are bringing some anarchist energy to the neighborhood. And Takoma Park may love you for it.

But more likely, your sign will be stolen within a day. Progressives aren't real good with dissent and deviation from correct thought. Woe is your book club experience going forward.

Maybe you could consider that immigration and border policy in the US is very complicated and a president cannot just wave their hand and solve the problem, it requires legislation for funding - for more personal and for scanners for Fentanyl - but also authority for more administrative judges to hear the asylum cases in an expedient manner so as to not allow those seekers free access to the country while awaiting their cases, and lo, there was a bill that did such a thing and the very GOP you are purporting to support tanked the bill so the issue would remain front and center during this political season.

In the meantime, our borders are not "open" - interdictions and deportations are up, drugs are being recovered at record rates - all three far higher than during the Trump administration. Maybe if you learned more about what is actually happening, rather than listening to right wing media, your would have a different perspective.
