I am so torn between having to work and caring for my sick daughter

Hi OP--I am sorry you are going through this. I have a not hugely dissimilar situation with my kids, who get many fevers and other viruses/are knocked flat by their allergies which leaves them susceptible to viruses. They miss many days of school. We do go to the pediatrician each time they miss school, and it's often strep or something else they can treat that they have gotten because their allergies have messed up their immune systems. When the kids are home they sleep, read, listen to audio books, and get occasional movies. I do try and block an hour to pay attention to them, and eat lunch with them when work permits. My spouse splits taking off time with me equally. We see MANY MANY MANY specialists, including allergists and an immunologist. We have been also told Dr. Michael Keller at Childrens National is supposed to be good for the constant illness/awful allergy situation. Also, if she can get allergy shots, get allergy shots! They are a life changer. Best of luck. Everyone else saying this is not a thing--if your kid is sick all the time, it's pretty wretched for everyone involved. Also, I was told to clean my vents. It didn't help us, but maybe it will help you--clean your vents! We also got mold remediation--that didn't help either, but your milage may vary. Best of luck.

Hi OP - you might want to start with getting rid of the carpeting in your house. Carpets trap dust. Getting rid of the carpets did wonders for my kids' health. And my own.
