It was a reform service so relatively short…I can’t say if it looked stupid or not since I wasn’t paying attention to what was underneath. Plenty of parkas and fashionable winter coats. |
Mine wears Nike Pro’s under her dress |

Op here. We went to Anthropologie on a whim and she (and I) really liked this dress.
However, even the small size was too big for her (she disagreed) and I also thought the fabric was not right for this kind of event. What do you think? Can I find something similar but appropriate size? https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/by-anthropologie-long-sleeve-square-neck-denim-babydoll-mini-dress?category=dresses-tunic-swing&color=066&type=PETITE&quantity=1 |
| Op again - the smallest size they had at the store was S. |
Did you just post a dress from Talbots for a 14 year old? Girl, no. |
Definitely not the right thing for an evening party. (I have kids this age and we had a Bat Mitzvah last year). Maybe ok for the day service, but still not really what the kids are wearing. |
OP, these come in XS. https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=7530430120000 https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-6483507/juniors-so-long-sleeve-babydoll-dress.jsp https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=792876002 |
| Is this a night party or a day party? Or is the dress just for a service and luncheon? That makes a big difference. The dresses in the last post are more for service during the day, not a night party. |
| I mean I'm having my bat mitzah in a couple of months & it's one Purim so everyone's going to wear costumes I have the option to wear a costume (last year me & my brother went as bigtan & teresh) but I don't have to (I'm the bat mitzah girl) |
| I am planning on wearing a choker either platforms or boots & a dress (I don't like wearing dresses) & I haven't been to one (besides my brother's bar mitzah) so I have nothing to offer just enjoying the drama |
