But I think that she had asthma or anxiety which probably got her panicking. So sad! I made my son delete the video. It’s very dry sad though. The principle needs to start taking accountability she has not done anything good while being at this school. Last year there was 3 fights in one day! My daughter also got confronted by a girl while many students were recording but thankfully the security guard broke it up before anything happened— speaking of; he got fired because a kid told him he would get someone to k!ll him so the security guard almost hit him! So crazy I am tired of this school.

Why delete the video? The more people who complain that videos were circulating boasting about this, action would have to be taken.

NP

I kind of agree. Parents and the general public need to see the video to understand how things are in schools right now.

The kids are not alright. It is unfortunate that soneone, or several kids, would record the fight, but not one person would break it up.

Do you really want your kid intervening in a fight to try and break it up? Nah, I tell my kids to head in the other direction.

Moderately Moco guy was on the thread and probably the other guys in the community from Fox 5 (I have seen some asking if they can cover a particular story) decided to republish this since it will get news coverage whether they publish it or not?

You misread it. She never said covering up for an adult involved.
She said covering up. I took it to mean covering up the rhe amount of violence. And minimizing the severity of the violence.

G says:
"principal is a very stressful job, school environment as work place is also very very stressful. Principal has nothing to lose if he tells the truth, he has no capacity to micromanage the kids. He probably told the story as he was told. Facts in such situations take time to come out. And let him work, let him earn, let him pay his bills. I pray 🙏🏽 it shall be well with the victim"

H replied:
" it’s a she and she is covering up because one of her teachers did this to that girl so that’s why mcps is covering everything up to protect yet another teacher"

Wait. So now we're saying the teacher assaulted the girl which resulted in the head trauma? Yeah, too many contradictory and confusing "facts" are floating around about this.

I read the entire thread on next door (my nextdoor feed actually) - the gist of what I got:

Regarding this incident, there is a video floating around showing one kid attacking another with the caption congrats Rita, the B*** deserved it. There were 3 perpetrators. 2 of them have bullied another parent's kid telling her to unalive herself. That parent showed the texts to the school and they asked her to get her kid off social media and did nothing basically. She has a police report against those two. Another parent then chimed in saying her son was bullied, LPMS did nothing and he now transferred to another private school recently.

What was confusing was the parent who filed a police report against two of these perpetrators also says the above (about school protecting a teacher). People have asked her to clarify but she has not responded.

Even if there are confusing stories floating around - one thing is certain - there is a history of attacks in this school and they are trying to cover it up now.

The nextdoor discussion just got closed, so yeah definitely a cover up.

That's better than standing there watching, recording or live streaming it. My boys are big, so I wouldn't worry about them pulling a girl off another girl. I'd be mortified if they recorded a fight.

I don’t think it’s clear yet that there is a coverup. I think it’s entirely possible that the sensational details originally reported were inaccurate and highly exaggerated. Think about who would have to be the source for how many times the victim lost consciousness.

I don't see that at all on the NextDoor thread. I do see some paranoid person who thinks some January 6 group made up the story and all the thousands of readers are playing along with having received notification from tye principal. You have to just ignore those claims. Mental health help is needed put there alot.

It came from the police scanner
Fox took it down to check sources. Now it's back up because it's true.

I just quoted those posts word for word above and yet you don't see it on next door? No one is crazy here. You must be part of MCPS trying to sweep this under the rug.

She was taken to Inova, so it couldn't have been that exaggerated.

People on this thread are tripping or need to go pack to astroturfer school.

There is a media story, the school sent out a communication about the incident and many have seen the video. A child was taken to a ped trauma center in ANOTHER STATE due to the severity of her injuries.

Those rambling about Jan 6, etc., this is a serious matter. Sit down.

+1

I'm in that nextdoor feed and they closed the discussion down due to a similar rambling.

I feel same poster is here rambling trying to shut this thread down too.

Someone does not want us parents in the neighborhood discussing this.

Quiet the opposite. I added my story of my child getting beaten up at that school. Don't let the paranoids make you paranoid.
Possibly I had blocked one of the posters at a different time so didn't see it but either way, calm down.

FOX has pulled down the propaganda

MCPS has no online public record of a police report or anything for any date near this supposed thing.

Police are now investigating the reporters of this. and they seem to be a group that in 2021 did a false report as well.

Republcians are fear mongering.

There was no police report on the BCC student that kicked the student in the head multiple times either ans we all saw the video

Well, to be fair, there was no police report in that incident because the police who were called were otherwise tied up and couldn't or didn't respond when they were summoned.

NP trying to catch up. So we know there was an altercation because the school sent an email. But do we know that the Inova thing is true? Was that in the school's email?

Aside from the person on NextDoor who claims their child was bulled by both of the kids in this fight, has anyone else claimed to have seen the video? Is it linked somewhere?

You can get punished for trying to break up a fight, unfortunately.

You can also get hurt or killed by intervening, unfortunately. Like that guy who tried to break up that NY subway fight and died in the crossfire. I told my kids it’s better to get help from authorities rather than try to step in.

And if there are no "authorities" available?
