Gaithersburg Police have a report filed by MCPS morning after the incident the minor was already home by then. Did not stay over night in the hospital.

MCPS spoke with the students the next day all grades. Within 48 hours letter sent to parents. Should that have been done the next day yes. However the police asked MCPS to wait til they had all the facts which is reasonable.

Everyone needs to stop spreading rumors. Again this is a minor. If the parents want you to know something they will tell you. This case is not what it seems. I know this because this is my neighbor.

Since you know this about the girl since she's your neighbor, can you confirm:

1) Are they seeking to press charges against the girls who attacked their daughter?

2) Are they happy with how MCPS handled this incident and safety/security at the school in general?

Why is it even your business?

Violence in MCPS is everyone's business, especially those of us with kids there.

The child that was hurt did not have a traumatic brain injury and they were back at school the next school day .
