By all means, set me straight. I would like it if the dems were fighting to strengthen our border; if they were tearing down Texas's security in order to install even stronger security. But that doesn't appear to be what's going on at all. It appears that a bill being sold as "border security" is functionally just a bill to get more administrative workers on hand to process people into the country. There's no money for enforcement. So please, explain the holes in my understanding. |
Have you even read it? Here, educate yourself. This is what it would do, specifically, to improve the border: https://www.cbo.gov/system/files/2023-05/hr2.pdf#:~:text=H.R.%202%20would%20require%20all%20employers%20to%20use,are%20eligible%20to%20work%20in%20the%20United%20States. https://immigrationforum.org/article/bill-analysis-the-secure-the-border-act-of-2023/ |
Why would the government enforce a new law? They don’t enforce the existing law.
They will just spend the Ukraine money then not enforce the new law. No sense in giving money to Ukraine under any circumstances and just let Joe get destroyed in the election |
Explain to me why you believe that adding more administrative workers will reduce immigration. |
You seem confused. The point is that Trump has never been afraid of Democrats, which is why he implemented strict border protocols as president. I was trying to jog your (very selective) memory by reminding you how outraged Democrats were about his border restrictions. Of course, once Joe got into office, the first thing he did was to grab a pen and sign his EOs, ending all Trump border protocols. Fast forward to today, and we now have the worst border crisis in our nation's history, all due to Joe Biden. |
I suspect this is a way to stop funding Ukraine but not look like abandoned them. |
Thank you for admitting that the GOP doesn’t want to pass any bills so they can ensure Biden loses. |
Well, the *first* thing he did was take the Huthis off the terrorist list. |
What sensible “border protocols” did Trump implement? |
I really don’t care, do U? |
Remain in Mexico policy. That's the main thing that worked and the main thing Republicans want to bring back. |
This is true. Thanks, Joe! /s |
Seriously?? MPP/Remain in Mexico. Invoking Title 42. Started building sections of border wall - ended by Joe Biden. Ironically, Biden/Mayorkas are now realizing a border wall will indeed have to be built. Too funny. |
We know you don't. Democrats enjoy millions of illegal immigrants entering the U.S. |
