| We joined a Big3 from public as a 9th grader. I will say that my child has had a pretty seamless transition. I could not say anything about the parent community. They seem fine? I don’t really know as it’s my child’s life and experience. I’ve shown up at a few things, tried to get to know a few adults, and some seemed super nice and some seemed like a**hats. This seems to be a very important question for little kids. I would just ignore this thread if you’ve got older kids. |
| I guess we all think OUR school is the best, so I'll chine in with Christ Episcopal in Rockville and AHC. |
Not true, we've been at two schools over 12 years and only one of them fits into the "nicest parent community" category. The other does not. |
It is hilarious than anyone thinks being a member at Chevy makes you cool. Country clubs are mostly filled with awkward people, let’s be honest. You people are crazy. I have kids at the schools being discussed and nothing of any significance is happening at CCC except for certain nerdy activities |
Heard the same from friends in middle school there. They are planning on applying out for 9th because a few of these parents. |
I don’t think anyone ever said they are cool. They said they are toxic to the school community. Not cool. |
Plus it is too diverse. That’s the truth. The few ccc me eta I know at NCS keep to themselves and do not want anything to do with any parents unless they belong to CCC or Congo. |
I can think of one that began there and we were in the same elementary school and she used to drop f bombs in the hallway at her kids. She has mastered the icing technique with parents- pretends not to see you or know you to avoid having to say hello. And no she’s not shy - just mean! We were so happy when she went to SR and not our school. Phew. |
DP. No my kid was invited and attended and had a nice time but I did hear of this happening to that boy after the fact and was so sad for him. I can’t imagine the humiliation. Worse off CCC parents discussing it had zero empathy. I realized these are not my people. |

Sulgrave too? It is such a beautiful club and friends mentioned I should apply to join there but if they are doing this there then I have no interest. I just want to have a nice lunch on occasion or attend an event but I would not want to have a chance of a group of women who peaked in junior high to blackball me. This is all new to me. I would never and have never put in a negative word about anyone trying to join our clubs. |
Nice try. NCS has more than its share of mean people and CCC members. |
NCS and STA is the hope and dream of every CCC member. |

Does anyone see a problem with someone hosting a dance, requiring payment for the dance, and then not even ensuring that everyone can attend? I don't understand this at all. I'm clearly not in the world (and have no desire to be). |
