Winter classic charged for meet sheets last year. This year they did not and are charging admission, a nominal one. I wish every meet charged admission. I have seen people bring in 8 people to watch a kid swim when there is zero spectating room. This might curb that. |
It does get so crowded in the stands. |
All our club’s emails refer to it as NCI. |
Why would people buy meet sheets any longer now that you can get Meet Mobile? |
The meet was not put into meet mobile until after the meet last year. |
It does get crowded but people shouldn’t be restricted who they can bring to watch. I wish my parents were still around and could come. |
That would be really annoying. |
The meet actually was posted and results were loaded throughout, but the heat/lane assignments were not loaded- only the psych sheet. |
You purchased the virtual meet sheet in meet mobile. Heat/lane assignments were only visible in MM upon purchase. |
They are not restricting. Just $5 a session or $15 for the whole meet per person. This also gets people volunteering. |
Same. We’re an NCAP family and this is the first year I’ve heard people refer to it as NCI. I’m getting used to it. |
The sweatshirts and T-shirts they've sold for the last several years have said NCI on them. I don't think this is new. |
I've heard that charging spectators is common for most meets in other areas. I guess we should be thankful for the number of "free" meets we get. I've also had a kid in a basketball league that was $8 per game every week all season! |
I’m winter classic was as packed as ever. Didn’t matter that they charged. It was nuts |
NCap Imvite: Worst time of year. Everyone is tired and sick. Not as fun as Turkey Clause.
Yes, it’s a fast meet. Appalling, unsportsmanlike behavior during the Men’s 100 free final last night from an NCap swimmer. Disgusting. |
