Lol people only want to take from posts what they want. |
Right but as has been pointed out, it could also be because of a terrible illness etc., and a very hard thing to hear even if youare easy going |
This reminds me of my aunt who once went on a long tirade about how she likes being whistled at on the street and how the feminists have ruined it. |
I can’t tell if you are dumb or just not funny. |
Well by that logic no one needs to say anything at all, ever. About anything, unless it’s life threatening. Seems like that’s where we’re headed. |
She’s not wrong. |
Me too. I’ve known many friends who have been overweight who are delighted when people acknowledge their hard work in losing it. I think you are an outlier, at least among the type of people I am friends with. I will also acknowledge your fantastic hair cut, your stylish outfit, your brightened white teeth. Maybe we just wouldn’t be friends if that isn’t your style, and that’s ok. |
No, it isn’t. |
Are we talking about random people or friends, family members? Because I would already know if this happened if I’m talking to a friend or family member. Frankly I’d know it about a coworker too. |
I lost weight and got a bunch of weird reactions. Many people said I looked great and that made me feel good. Other people asked me if I was okay, if I was sick, etc and that didn't make me feel good. One lady I work with on occasion said nothing but stared at my clavicle area with a look of horror and disgust, and that made me feel the worst of all. |
Right lady. |
I’ve lost almost 100 pounds, but that was mostly because I got very sick when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I hate when people mention my weight, because it was lost because I was so unhealthy and sick. Not the way I wanted to become a size 6, and now I get all the judgement from people who say I’m taking medications from diabetics..,.,.. WHEN I AM DIABETIC, but I don’t need to tell you that! |
No one on this thread who says they insist on commenting on other people’s bodies is making a good case for why they are good. |
I live in Los Angeles and here you would think that people would know better, being all progressive and all, but they really don’t. Surprisingly, it’s only people from the east coast who have said to me “you look really good!!!!” instead of asking how I lost weight and is it ozempic. |
I'm obese, but I recently lost 30 pounds and no one has commented. Maybe I'm so fat that they don't notice? Or maybe everyone is afraid to say anything? I'm not sure which.
I don't need anyone to comment, but honestly I'm just very surprised I lost 4 clothing sizes without any comments at all. |
