Funny you should mention NHL games. The few games I’ve been to, I felt very uncomfortable because I was one of the few POC there. |

| Wake has always given major preppy vibes. I knew this even as a teen in Texas. Now that I have spent a ton of time in NC, I realize the white culture in that state is just really preppy, especially in Winston. |
Wait so your white daughter was calling the one brown person she saw all day white-washed? Ma’am, you failed. |

I don't think you can tell anything from a schools' marketing materials or their social media posts.
I grew up attending a school with about 5 black kids but they were all over every single thing they printed. Same with my kids' private. It is a very white school but the Instagram reads like a a Benetton add from 1985. |
| OP’s DD sounds like a real jerk. |
Sure does. Obviously NCS doesn’t do a good job training human beings. |
It’s entirely consistent with the common data set that reports a third of Wake students are not white. |
Eh, at least some of the 7.5% Latinos probably appear white, rich, and preppy. That leaves roughly 12.5% black and Asian plus 3+% who identify as mixed. So, not a lot of noticeable diversity. |
Wow, you are a weirdo. When the facts don’t agree with your perceptions, invent some new ones. |
Try Howard. |
| We toured Wake last year and agree it seemed like a bubble. More than skin color, what we noticed was that every kid seemed to dress identically and be very good looking! My kid felt it wasn’t their scene (and I was secretly pleased), but I could see why some kids love it. |
So consistent with the percentage of white people in the US. |
