This is how they want you to react.

I am a woman who has been sexually assaulted. It diminishes what happened to me when people cry wolf. When Hollywood starlets who didn’t make it sleep with famous people and then later have regrets? Cry me a river. I was sexually assaulted by a random stranger who cornered me and forced himself on me. It absolutely minimizes what I went through. It makes me feel like my experience is nothing and no one cares, even though it was much worse in reality.

Russell Brand didn’t need to corner a random stranger. That is so unplausible. He slept with a pulse who was receptive, he didn’t need unreceptive partners.

SA is about power. It's not about the ability to find a receptive partner.

Please use this as an opportunity to understand that not all victims had the same experience as you.

Or are those situations fine because one of those underage victims married her predator and the other victim (who was 14 at the time) has "forgiven" him.

I’m a liberal and proud of it. And are you kidding? I can’t even watch anything by those Hollywood people who signed that open letter supporting Polanski in 2009. As for Woody Allen, the age differences between him and his romantic interests creeped me out even before he married his stepdaughter. People say we don’t know for sure whether he molested Dylan or not, but I cannot imagine thinking any of the rest was okay either.

yes, age of consent means age of consent - Continental Europe and the UK are not like the US on this at all.
They do not have to both be 16.

A ‘creepy’ clip of Russell Brand appearing to forcefully plant a kiss on Liz Hayes’ lips while trying to unclip her bra has resurfaced amid shocking rape allegations.
