The Fascist Part of the US strikes again in Tennessee

I'm so glad there's no more systemic racism in our country.

OMG. For ONCE could you not focus on their gender or race???

Consider for a moment that if you're tired of hearing people cite race and gender as possible reasons for unfair treatment, that it's happening an awful lot.

And that if it's happening so often that you're tired of hearing it, maybe just maybe they're right? That maybe people of color and women get shafted too often for it to just be coincidence?

We're honestly tired of having to point it out. Maybe we should fix it, so we can all stop talking about it.

I'll tell you what the vast majority of Americans are honestly tired of: playing the race/gender victim card any time you want to be excused for your bad behavior. If those three had been white men - and especially conservative white men - you would be gleefully crowing about how they were expelled for their antics. We all see you .

Outside of your bubble, the “vast majority of Americans are honestly tired of” mass shootings every day.

Newsflash: the right is against mass shootings. Another newsflash: the last targets of a mass shooting were conservative Christians, attacked by a presumed leftist.

Actually, only racists and misogynists are "tired of the race/gender victim card." Everybody else understands that we live in a white patriarchy.

Nah. In your narrow little mind, everyone (except you, of course) is a racist or a misogynist. Only left-wing extremists believe we live in a "white patriarchy." You've become a caricature.

Not when the white nationalist party is involved. The republicans were giving white power hand signs on the flood of the legislature. Race is all you people care about. Go back to Fox.

Oh, BS. Link to those "white power signs," you nimrod.

Crickets... so surprising!

Robby is a loser. Before today no one knew who the Speaker of the Tennessee legislature was. Now they know who he is and what he represents. Do not allow republicans to gain control. They will take everything from you. Just like the commies do.

Wait till you hear who the last speaker of the Tennessee House was and why he isn’t the speaker anymore.

Shocked, just shocked that no one is interested in what an effing cesspool the Tennessee state house is.

What about, what about.

Jones is a serial assault expert. He got out of line and violated the functioning of the house. He’s been dealt with.

Former House speaker has a giant federal indictment for bribery and corruption and no one talked about expelling him.

Idiot the key were expelled for taking over the floor for nearly an hour.

The day Matt G takes over congress with a bullhorn for an hour, you’ll want him on a plane back to Florida.

The difference is that even though we disagree with Matt G, we still let him bloviate on the House Floor, we still give him time in hearings and committees to make his points, however idiotic those points are. even when Republicans are in the minority in the House...

These three Tennessee legislators were not afforded any of that. They were shut down and shut up and were not given any opportunity to make themselves heard. That's undemocratic behavior by TN Republicans. That's why they came back with bullhorns. Now, I'm not saying I agree with using bullhorns but if you're going to talk about this then you need to acknowledge that this blew up because of the Republicans, who have not been acting in good faith.

Stuff like this is exactly why Republicans are losing, and will continue to lose, with Gen Z.

Sssssshhhh - that is a most inconvenient fact.

Tennessee lawmakers are complicit in the murder of 3 nine year olds who were simply attending school last week. These babies were murdered with an assault weapon. The students/parents/citizens could not get the attention of the TN lawmakers to do something to prevent that from happening again - and by that I mean those in control, the GOP.

These three lawmakers did their job, they advocated for the citizens they represent. The GOP has no rational reason for choosing weapons of war over CHILDREN. So they did what authoritarian government would do, they attacked the messengers instead.

I think they made a huge miscalculation ejecting these two lawmakers. They are smart, passionate and eloquent and now the whole world knows their names.

If they are against it, why do they refuse to actually do anything about it?

Newsflash: "thoughts and prayers" won't stop children from being slaughtered. And militarizing schools to protect kids rather than dealing with the gun wielding nuts is insane.

Left, right, center who cares? No one can deny that if assault weapons, and large magazines were illegal 6 people wouldn’t have been killed in 11 minutes. A Swiss army isn’t going to do that kind of damage. ITS THE GUNS THAT ARE THE PROBLEM. It’s an undeniable fact.

It that's the case, then maybe the right should actually do something about reducing mass shooting instead of scapegoating drag queens.

Oh stop it. Those “legislators” had a 45 minute tantrum in the People’s House. Then they got up and did the Martin. Luther. King. Jr. thing where you place. a. period. after. each. word. There was a place for this performance—it’s high school oratory competitions.

Rep. Farmer didn’t want to introduce the resolution expelling these “representatives”. But they couldn’t just apologize for their incivility and for inciting their supporters to protest in the Halls of the Legislature. So what was he supposed to do with such insolence? They had to be expelled. And around the country people said “Finally someone is dealing with entitled woke brats.”

TN Republican state legislator who was NOT expelled:

--former Rep. David Byrd, R-Waynesboro (allegations by 3 former students of sexual misconduct while he was their coach)
