Translation: I got called out for my lack of reading skills, for being a troll and an idiot. Now I am trying to save face, so I am moving the goalpost. |
Look in the data in more detail. For example, slide 23 here: https://go.boarddocs.com/mabe/mcpsmd/Board.nsf/files/CJJHER48187D/$file/EOL%20EOY%20Perform%20Data%20Rpt%20220922%20PPT.pdf On the district assessments--which are the assessments MCPS gives that are aligned with the curriculum--only 44% of grade 2 students passed and 30 percent of grade 5 students. It's stronger in middle school, but I don't see anywhere near three-quarters of the 3rd graders passing. MCPS is inflating the percentage by pulling in grades. If kids aren't on grade level in MAP and Benchmark assessments, they are not on grade level even if the inflated grades make them look like they are. |
