how many overpaid jobs in DMV can be automated out to AI like ChatGPT?

The fact is most people are educated to be no better than AI and often considerably worse.

The premium will be on creativity, inventiveness, originality and quality. Those have been devalued for a long time ie in the low paid arts but these are the things a computer cannot do.

Also things requiring touch like in-hospital medicine, most surgery, construction, craftsmen/women, and vocations like plumbing and electricians, real estate development and high quality musicians. Although I can see how a machine might one day replace some musicians.

You felt competent and relaxed but now those parts of your job get automatic so you spend all day every day doing only the difficult fiddley bits of your job. All exceptions and tricks all the time. Felt about right

in tech, ageism is rampant. mainly fueled by Big Tech importing millions of low wage workers,. I have never met a software developer that could retire, they all have been fired and replaced.
