How do you feel about Joe Biden running in 2024?

Too old. Way too old. There should be a cap of 70.

I will vote for whoever the Democratic nominee is, at this point. If it's Biden, it's Biden.

How does one say this nicely, DeSantis is weird. He’s uncomfortable in his own skin, zero charisma, comes across and mean and uptight. At least Trump could be entertaining (horrible person still). DeSantis will melt in the spotlight. I can’t wait to see Trump tear him apart then Uncle Joe will beat The Donald, again.

ITA on DeSantis, but I think the GOP may go ride or die here with DeSantis. They are hugely freaked out by losing. It seems like the 2012 post-mortem is coming true.

Biden is a decrepit puppet. There is no way they’ll allow him to run in 2024.

Ageist much?

People of ALL ages have the right to be judged on their merit and their performance — not a number.

WE need someone younger, guys, cmon.

The problem is that "someone younger" doesn't run - it's an actual person, and you have to like them and think other people like them more than who we have. I really like Biden. I am open to someone else being the nom, if we have someone else who is really good - but this whole "muST bE YouNGer" call int he dark doesn't really get you there. So who then?

I don’t know that I agree with a cap of 70, but we’re talking about the office of the President of the United States. Stability is important. You don’t have stability if the president drops dead. Of course, a young president can (and has) died in office, but older the president is, the greater the likelihood of that happening due to natural causes. Airline pilots have a mandatory retirement age because they’re responsible for the lives of others. It’s not unreasonable for the highest office in the most powerful nation on earth to have an age cap.

If we had no idea how old Biden was, he would most definitely be judged on his performance and merit - and the verdict would be just as harsh.

DP. I completely disagree. When I see DeSantis, I see someone strong and resolute. The contrast between him and Trump is striking. I don’t think DeSantis will have any trouble winning the nomination over Trump.

And Democrats aren’t?! The desperation on this forum is palpable.

What’s the plan for what comes next? How will Republicans convince Trump to endorse DeSantis and then go away?

Its not a rational choice at his age. Neither is Trump.

Democracy needs someone who can win and finish their term.
