How do you feel about Joe Biden running in 2024?

He will run against DeSantis, and will look terribly mumbly and senile.

Make no mistake, Trump is not getting the nomination after these midterms. It's going to be DeSantis, who speaks well and aggressively and doesn't say stupid things like Trump.

We need someone young and energetic who can out-debate a DeSantis.

(I like Joe the Grandpa, not Joe the President of the free world.)

There is no way Trump will back away and hand it to someone else. It will be down to DeSantis and Trump while Biden just kind of stands at the sidelines.

PP you replied to. Of course Trump wants to run. But he has a good chance of losing the nomination in a fight with DeSantis, because of the poor Republican showing yesterday (if Democrats keep the Senate, which looks highly likely, since they will probably turn out more people in the December Georgia run-off). The GOP leadership blames Trump for the lack of red wave.

I 100% agree! And that should be the dem’s best communicator right now.

Yes.

Pete Buttigieg

I would love for the DNC to get behind Pete, President Biden included. I don't want Biden to run again but will vote for him in the general if I have to.

That said - I'm not a betting person and I would put money on DeSantis ultimately being the nominee. It'll be an ugly primary and Trump will not slither off quietly - ever - so they'll have to contend with him while running a campaign. Grab the popcorn.

I disagree. I think he's doing a great job. A shockingly good job. Listening to his press conference today, I was reminded of my pleasant surprise when he first took office when I realized what a good president he seemed to be, after my "anti-Trump" vote. He is so damn good!!

However, he's way too old. It's absurd for someone that age to be president. I hope someone else just like him runs. I don't think there's anything about him that indicates he is impaired by age, but it's just not logical for him to run again, at his age.

Who else is just like Joe Biden, but in his prime?

Love Biden. I think Kamala more qualified than Pete, although Pete is smart. But, so was Obama, with little experience, and he did a great job.

I hope Trump runs independently and steals votes from DeSAntis and the dems win. Again.

He is totally underrated!

I will be proud to vote for Joe in 2024

NBC just raised an eyebrow about Pence, Cruz, Pompeo, and a few others I can’t recall, making waves for 2024. Pence is promoting his book, “So help me God.” That’s how we all fee,l Mike.

I’ll vote for someone else in the primary. I’d be happy with Pete B.

I’ll vote for Biden if he ends up being the nominee.

I’d pop a huge a$$ bowl of popcorn to see Pence debate Trump.

While Biden has been in office, he has actually gotten things done that no one was able do in the past such as pass green energy initiatives, medicare prescription drug price negotiations, leaving Afghanistan, etc. Plus he wasn't so controversial as to allow a MAGA wave like when we had to deal with the Tea Party morons for years. I hope Biden runs again and continues to get things done while keeping the crazies out of government.

Trump is so bad that I would actually vote for a right-wing Evangelical like Pence simply because he understands democracy is important. Theocracy would maybe be more tolerable than the knucklehead fascism Trump wants to bring to the USA.

Same. But I wish for someone new. In both parties.

I will vote for him, but would prefer else, someone younger. He turns 80 later this month. It’s just too old.

VP Harris represents perhaps the most important constituency in the Democratic base - the Dems will lose if she is jettisoned from the ticket..

So the Trump base is going to step aside for DeSantis, whom Trump has already threatened? GOPer Sarah Longwell just doesn't see how DeSantis can thread the needle her.
