How do you feel about Joe Biden running in 2024?

I want him to make good on his campaign promise and go away. A big part of why voted for him is because he emphasized repeatedly on the campaign trail that he is there just for one term to hand over the reins to the younger generation. Now that he’s gotten a taste of power, however, he’s trying to stay and is proving himself a flip-flopping sack of shit in the process.

TBH, I feel the same way. As I said (in this thread or another), I will be pissed if he doesn’t retire.

He will run against DeSantis, and will look terribly mumbly and senile.

Make no mistake, Trump is not getting the nomination after these midterms. It's going to be DeSantis, who speaks well and aggressively and doesn't say stupid things like Trump.

We need someone young and energetic who can out-debate a DeSantis.

(I like Joe the Grandpa, not Joe the President of the free world.)

If DeSantis takes the GOP nomination from Trump, he (Trump) will tear the party in 2 and Biden will win re-election with ease.

Did Biden really promise to only serve one term if elected? I don’t remember that.

He was very sneaky about it.

Actually, I have. Both of my grandfathers. Especially one of them who really didn’t even start to physically deteriorate until now, in his mid 90s. He’s still sharp. At 82? He was still working full time managing a successful business (as he has been until recently), exercising daily, and playing golf a few times a week.

I will vote for Biden if he’s the nominee. I even line Joe Biden and think he gets a lot of unfair criticism considering what a mess he’s had to clean up. But looking at mark kelly kick ass in AZ, I think he could run for prez in the future.

I feel like SNL nailed this one:

So no, he never really promised to only serve one term if elected.

Desantis will win by double digits vs Biden assuming Biden actually runs.

There’s no one else in the party who can challenge Biden by uniting the fractured mess that’s currently the Democratic caucus.

This is my fear too. I don't think anyone will do better than Biden. Perhaps if Trump and DeSantis/ whoever looks promising destroy each other, another Democrat would stand a better chance?

As far as I am concerned the Republican party allowed Trump to almost destroy this country pretty much unchecked. I don't have respect for anyone that is in its leadership.

Look at Larry Hogan whose career is built on democrats crossing party lines to vote for him. Not only does this coward write in Ronald Reagan instead of voting for Biden, he proudly shares this information. And we are supposed to find leadership here? There are no leaders there. Just a bunch of self centered cowards.

It's imperative that a Democrat wins the presidential election. If Biden is the person who stands the best chance of uniting the party, I am very comfortable with him being president.

Please stop. STOP.

“Running a business” is not the same as being leader of the free world, FFS.
