How do you feel about Joe Biden running in 2024?

Pence was reasonably well respected in DC as a negotiator and getting policy done. People got upset with his statement about being alone with an unmarried woman but given the context of our #metoo times perhaps it wasn't so unwise after all. Within the Republicans, and even among many Democrats, Pence was more than competent as someone to work with. As a political candidate, he was picked to help win over the evangelicals, so he had a role to play. And, it should be pointed out, he was among the first to criticize J6 and has distanced himself firmly from Trump. As VPs went, he was solid, reliable, and extremely competent.

Harris, by contrast, has been completely shuffled aside and kept under wraps by the Biden administration. She is a non-entity. She plays no role, she is not listened to, she does not bring support to Biden. Her gaffes are many and foolish. The gap between her and Biden in a hypothetical matchup with Trump is significant. And for very good reasons.

Pence was viewed as a very conservative governor. The party moved so far to crazy that over his tenure, he ended up being closer to a moderate republican.

I agree, Harris is a nothing. Biden is also 80 years old

Both Harris and Biden would be fine as POTUS elected (or reelected) in 2024. Calm down everyone.

Biden is fine, Harris … meh to ugh, … Michelle Obama, would be interesting.

Someone needs to offer a Harris a face-saving $$$$$ job.
Biden needs a new running mate.
I like Harris fine, but she’s been too damaged by conservative media.

What kind of job would that even be? President of a major Foundation?

For those of you against Harris, be careful, your racist misogyny is showing.

She doesn’t even like Biden. He needs a stronger running-mate.

Fine? Not enthusiastic because I think he takes women for granted and missed the opportunity to make a point on Dobbs in the lame duck that could have saved lives.

But I’d vote for anyone before a Republican. Ten year olds being raped, their doctors harassed, and these ghouls think the solution is to force them to give birth? Literally never again will I vote for anyone with an R by their name and I have voted for several moderate republicans before now.

Great for you. What are you doing to convince independents and R’s to convert?

Not my job. Look at the numbers in Wisconsin and Kansas, the Republicans are doing that work themselves.

That’s what I’m thinking. Maybe a University.

Yes, plenty of times.

Lol.

Harris looked like an absolute idiot and way in over her head when they tried to trot her out there briefly to talk about China and North Korea. She'd get absolutely owned in the arena of geopolitics by our current enemies in China and Russia. She shouldn't be anywhere near the oval office. She looked like a deer in headlights when trying to talk about tensions rising in the East.

Tell me something...other than refusing to participate in Trump's coup attempt, what did Mike Pence accomplish in four years as VP? Yet he never got anywhere close to the level of scrutiny that Harris gets now. Why?

VP don't do anything. It's a dead end career path.

Just ask Biden! What did that guy ever do after being VP

Except Biden had like 40 years of service in the Senate. Harris has nothing.

And Barack Obama had a single term in the Senate before embarking on his largely successful 2-term presidency. What's your point?
