MCPS and the new health officer have already made it pretty clear that they will continue to operate under a mask optional policy. You can continue to whine and post here if it makes you feel better though.

No one is pushing it. But stop complaining of illness.

I'm glad you agree that MCPS should not require masks, but there are a small number of parents and teachers that want to see that.

The people who want it, want it because of health reasons and it's not unreasonable given all the illnesses going around. I don't care about mask mandates this year as my kids will not be entering an MCPS building because of people like you. Just stop complaining already about how inconvenient your sick kids are as you did it to them.

Who is complaining about their kids getting sick?

That was the point of this thread.

Based on the posts in this thread it mostly seems to be the mask fanatics and teachers complaining, not parents.

You don't speak for me, that's for sure.

The post is about those sick at school. That has nothing to do with masking. Teachers who have to take care of the sick kids have a right to complain.

my UMD freshman has been sick all fall too. It was to be expected, now that the kids abruptly stopped social distancing and mask wearing. Have to play a little catch up on all the sicknesses they missed...
