Why don’t you read the U.S. News article linked above? Pay attention to this part: “In fact, according to an annual poll released Tuesday by Education Next, an education policy journal published by the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and the Program on Education Policy and Governance at the Harvard Kennedy School, Democrats are more likely to support vouchers than Republicans, whose backing of the programs has dropped precipitously in recent years.” |

But nice try, to all those lying about this issue.
Fact is: Democrats support vouchers. |
Some, but certainly not a majority. Democrats as a whole want strong public schools that aren’t underfunded. And of course you know that people aren’t lying just because their opinion varies from yours. |
Lol. https://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Education_Next |
Just stop with the gaslighting and lies! https://nypost.com/2022/05/28/democrats-gaslight-american-parents-about-school-vouchers/ Give parents of kids in failing schools a choice. Why are you so opposed to choice? |
| I live in a very blue area in Northern Virginia, and my local schools are excellent. I came from a very rural part of Virginia, where the school were very poor. The only thing vouchers are going to do in my home town is siphon money away that can be used to upgrade the education in the public school to the private school that was started in the 1970s by families that wanted to avoid desegregated schools. Moreover, the education received by students in that private school is even worse than the public school as students who transition to the public school frequently have a hard adjusting to grade level work. |
Sure, I don't suppose you've ever seen lists of the top ranked high schools in the state. |
Accusing someone of gaslighting and then linking to the NY Post may be the height of irony |
Is that you, Beto? Get a clue: you lost. |
Your poor opinion of private school is based on a sample size of one. That is an anecdote, not a statistic, nor a persuasive argument. |
wrong region moron |
He certainly was not an independent when he ran on the dem ticket as VP. And yeah, he supported school choice long before that. |
The odds of Youngkin being elected were slim in the first place. Democrats might yet find a way to screw it up. In any case, vouchers have been on the agenda forever, as well as charters. It's almost impossible that they won't eventually find their way in, as the industry, particularly for charters, has grown exponentially over the past few years, as more and more districts went that way. The strangest thing is both vouchers and charters have largely been complete failures and haven't done anything to improve education, and yet they continue to spread. |
Wrong. They’ve both been highly successful. It’s the regular public schools that are epic failures, especially in solid blue cities. |

More democrats support so-called “vouchers” than Republicans:
