Really? We’re going to nitpick this?

He has a dorm named after him and frequently used to come to the school for big events before he passed

Who is tokenizing? A poster said no one notable was at Wake. She is pretty darn notable

People. Get a life. These are all good schools. They are all VERY different in every way. Given how hard it is to get accepted to colleges today, just chill out and be glad for the different kid who are drawn to these different schools instead of ranking them. It is honestly a complete waste of time to do so. There are hugely successful grads from pretty much any school and grads who are much less successful as well.

Is "Rochester" RIT or U of R?

LOVE Wake! It's a great school, great sports - excellent reputation.

+1 a lot of vitriol spewed here for such a small school that crushes it in both academics and sports

yes he does, it was the football dorm back in the 80s and he used to show up and drink beer in the woods behind it with the football team.

The school used him for marketing, he never asked for it.

I do, my brother took her class along with 99 other football players. Don't be fooled by schools and their well known professors. She passed every single one of them who rarely went to class.

That's BS. She was an upper division woman's studies professor, and her classes were interesting and challenging. If she had one entry level class that some athletics males took because she made enlightenment more important that grading, big freaking deal. And she taught at Wake before she gained national notoriety -- the university recognized her brilliance before the rest of the nation. And BS about Wake athletics not going to class.

oh ok because you were one of them or you just don't think that at such "special" places they get special treatment? and yes, she did teach an entry level class. long before anyone outside of Winston Salem knew of her.

Wake Forest has won a total of 9 National Championships with 5 coming since 2002. Stanford leads the way with 157. Most Ivy league schools have more and Duke has 17 They have a really long way to go.

he participated - he didn't have to. I vividly remember pictures of him riding in a little cart at a football game. Did they force him into the cart against his will?
