The new reign of King Charles III has begun

Since this thread is about Charles, can we discuss his fat sausage fingers? He’s even joked about them himself. It looks very painful and as if it impacts his fine motor skills. Is that arthritis? The historical maladies of royals fascinates me. I’m sure in the past much of it was from inbreeding and an over indulgent lifestyle. I’ve seen a picture of his feet which looked painful. Is he diabetic maybe?

Glad to see other people find this as bizarre as I do. It’s 2022.

It’s something hereditary, I think. Louise Windsor has super red hands, they aren’t swollen yet. Prince Philip had swollen hands, too.

NP with a question-why don't these people have last names?
the original name was Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, but they changed it when they they were at war with Germany in WWI.

They changed it because the name was not English
Brittish royal family is German, Windsor is an invention. Mountbatten is also an invented name. Original was Battenberg

Just think that there was a time when they had to change their centuries old name just to be English enough for the English

Mountbatten and battenburg mean the same thing. It’s like how some immigrants changed their last names from Weiss to white.

I do not agree with the comparison, but whatever

He is old. Old people have lots of medical problems.

Has anyone seen the video of Charles today? Instead of just pushing the inkwell aside. He shoos the ‘help’ to fetch it. So gross and entitled.

This is a man who has a lackey squeeze toothpaste for him every morning.

I think he's under a ton of pressure. I also think his finger issue is likely alcohol related. He's always had bright red slapped cheeks like a whiskey drinker.

The setup was cluttered and not practical. I'm sure the last thing he wanted to was knock over inkwells. His Mother just died. He just became King. He is old, tired, grieving and stressed.

Huh?? It’s Windsor!!!

Or Mountbatten-Windsor for Harry’s

Yes but William’s children don’t use that at school. Previously they have been George Cambridge, etc. at school. Since William and Harry were always the children of the Prince of Wales, they were William and Harry Wales. I was just wondering if they would become at school George Wales, Charlotte Wales, etc.

Yes they are now Princes George and Louis Wales and Princess Charlotte Wales

Well that didn't take long

Did you catch that they changed their handle to D of D of Cornwall and Cambridge when the Queen was still dead in her bed? The thirst is real.

It is tradition and what is expected. Please do some basic research and save yourself the embarrassment.

The anecdote you’re referring to took place when his arm was broken.

You can’t be serious. Calling them by their given names, rather than their titles, was the snub.

I thought they didn’t want their titles anymore?

Oh, they use their titles. One prime example was when Meghan wrote a letter to Nancy Pelosi in support of paid parental leave, signing the letter from the “Duchess of Sussex.”

They’ve caught a lot of flack for continuing to use their titles.

It diminishes Meghan to rely on her title.

What else is there to her and Harry?
