Who is Pelosi again? She's not PUSA, so why is she trying to travel abroad like she is representative of our nation? This dingbat's ego is going to open up a whole can of worms we wished never got opened, now that China has all sorts of hubris. Pelosi just needs to go away.

So you think it's okay for Chonaor any country, to dictate to the US Speaker of the House of Representatives, third in line to Presidency, where they can go or not go?
I don't think so.

I guess you're the reincarnated Neville Chamberlain.

You are what happens when kids don't learn proper civics in school. Sit down.

She is Speaker of the House. She is not President. She is not Secretary of State. Get it through your thick skull....the American public did not elect Pelosi to represent the country. She needs to stop acting like she is in charge of running diplomatic affairs at the nation-state level. She's a 2nd tier politician causing a shit storm because she is doing things well outside of her jurisdiction. She needs to know her place.

Apparently, you know nothing about the line of the presidency. The Speaker of the House of Representatives is third on line to the presidency. If the president is incapacitated or dies, VP IS president. If VP is also incapacitated or dead then the Speaker of the House is president. Contrary to popular belief, ignorance is not bliss.

For your further information the Speaker of the House is elected by the elected members of the House of Representatives who are elected by the electorate of their states. Again, ignorance is not bliss.

It is better to be silent than to shout your ignorance even to an anonymous chat room.

Don’t call people ignorant when you think the current actual President is in line to be President. The Speaker is second in the line of succession.

Not all of them are.

A Russian saying is very appropriate here:

I wish it would have been a surprise visit in a way, but good on Pelosi. She's still too old and needs to pass the mantle, but she is savvy as hE#L.

China should be reminded that the US is no longer occupied with wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and that we can play a long game too.

Except we can’t play the long game, at all. We’re good at sound bites and political theater but we’re a paper tiger compared to China.

Because the Republicans' idea of "being tough" is Christmas cards posing with AR-15's in the safety of your living room in your quiet, upscale suburban neighborhood where nothing ever happens. The Republicans' idea of "being tough" is loud but empty words betrayed by being chickenshit on action (witness Josh "The Fist" Hawley running like a scared little girl on 1/6 footage).

And here they are shown up by an unarmed little old lady who has the guts to stand up to a world superpower.

Really? When has China proven its mettle? Who are their savvy proven military leaders? China hasn't had any practical military experience in 40+ years.

The last time the were involved in large scale conflict, they were still using human waves as an infantry tactic. None of their equipment is tested and none of their officers have any experience

Because hating the libs is more important than anything. Conservatives will side with an enemy if it’s against the libs.

China is on its way to becoming inconsequential.

You people know nothing about Pelosi. China was her issue years before she rose into the leadership. She visited Tiananmen Square with a protest banner. She clashed with Clinton and both Bushes over China Most Favored Nation status and WTO membership. She pushed Biden into not sending a government delegation to the Olympics. She’s been consistently critical of China more than anyone in the U.S. government.

Who cares about the military....the real war is economic. Chinas has locked up an insane amount of natural resources throughout Africa and latin america while opening up new markets for all of the crap they make. In the US the long game is next years election cycle or next quarters earnings. China looks out 50-100 years and plans accordingly.
