Neighbors having sex in backyard

Cheer them on.

If a child sees it you can be charged with

Lewd, indecent, or obscene acts; sexual proposal to a minor.
It is unlawful for a person, in public, to make an obscene or indecent exposure of his or her genitalia or anus, to engage in masturbation, or to engage in a sexual act as defined in § 22-3001(8). It is unlawful for a person to make an obscene or indecent sexual proposal to a minor. A person who violates any provision of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not more than the amount set forth in § 22-3571.01, imprisoned for not more than 90 days, or both

My husband and I have done this, behind our garage after dark. We tell the kids we are going on a walk, but in reality, we throw a blanket down and go at it in our fenced yard. We are quiet, so I don’t think neighbors hear. Our kids won’t venture that far into the yard after dark. In the summer, it’s the only peace we get with teens in the house. There’s also something fun about knowing it’s sort of forbidden.

That’s offensive.

Good for you both!
DW and I do something similar a couple times each summer.

This post is pretty old - like pandemic era. I can tell you that my wife and I had to get pretty creative during the pandemic in order to have time for us. We were doing it in the garage gym, our bnb since it mostly wasn’t occupied, or pretty much anywhere we could fund some privacy. Looking back, it was kind of a fun change.

Yeah, this was a truly weird bumped post.

It wouldn't bother me but this is a consent issue. When you go to a sex resort- everyone there knows and consents to what will happen. When you have sex in public and other people who aren't expecting it and havent consented to it can see or hear you - that's not ethical kink. What if a child or a survivor of SA witnessed it? Not cool.

Your backyard isn't public. Otherwise I could just set up a tent and live there.

Is it your belief that the old man next door is legally allowed to stand in his front yard and flash school children walking by, or masturbate in view of the children playing in the yard next door? It's his property right?

We have an outdoor hot tub and in the dead of winter there is no better place to have sex. It’s very private and I doubt our neighbors are out in the cold hoping for a show.

A few years ago we were in a hotel and it was clear the people in the next room were going at it. The next morning they were leaving at the same time as us and we realized they were at least 60. We resisted giving them a round of applause.

Plenty of people have sex outdoors on a nice night, we have and it’s fun. But we are not loud so I doubt our neighbors would hear us. We have young children so we have mastered the art of keeping quiet.

In the US health emergency declarations were ended in January 2023. The pandemic started hitting the US in March of 2020.
