A white person who is ignorant of that term’s origin and the declines to apologize for using it … that’s poor character. We can do better. I have never used that term and didn’t know its racist origin. Thank you for educating me! |
That post was not me and I'm more focused on Undergraduate ranking. I'll worry about graduate ranking later. |
I’m confused, which word did you use? One is certainly racist (and intentional), the other seems to be (I trust your facts, as I never knew) but was accidental. Both are bad (if your assumptions are true), but the intentional use of a racist word is even worse. Words are just letter, but meanings and intent can be very harmful. |
Crack me up. Leprechauns do equal trolls. Too funny |
That makes you sucker |
Sorry you didn't get in. Enjoy FSU. |

Congratulations, all! Go Gators! 🐊

Wow emotions are high here over two great and comparable schools - both HIGHLY competitive and very difficult to get in. Lots of splitting hairs on T20 or T25 or T30. And unless inside T5 or outside T205, all pretty much the same and depends on what the student is seeking. No doubt ALL within the T30 have overlapping stat ranges and similar student profiles. Now, let’s talk about something more relaxing like private high schools vs. publics in the DMV… |
LOL congratulations. and it's a good school. I understand people got excited, but let's not get carried away too much. Notre Dame is clearly a step or two up. |
Trolls = Leprechauns |
+1 (sans the green topcoat and hat). Both are great schools and I bet have very similar admission stats (although ND is likely test optional and UF has to report all test scores). Great schools, Congrats! |
| Notre Dame is tier 4. Two tiers up from UF. |
| Top 5!!! Go Gators! |

My Daughter is not Computer Science so unclear why one set of CS ranks are shown in the a thread for UF admitted students.
Everyone should be happy for their students wherever they got accepted. And yes, UF is a Top 5 public so stop the negativity. Go Gators! |
