Look at car thefts in that area. Most gang activity is within 2 miles of 270 or 495 access. They get on the highway and get away. You can see on the gang activity map, it all clusters around exits to major roads. |
Twinbrook Mafia, was mostly Viet Nam Vets. They used to hang in a field by the apartments that flooded. |
There were gangs in the Moore Street apartments and the apartments at the end of Stonestreet near the RR tracks. |
I believe it, I went to school with a lot of Veirs Mill guys.I remember one of them getting stabbed at a field party near Magruder High in the early 80's. |
The other Rockville gang in the 70's was the Kingdom. |
Looky here. In the acknowledgments Rockville PD ahead of Baltimore in busting a gang. Are there gangs? You betcha |
? Are you from this area? You know that Baltimore is no where near Rockville, right? And that Baltimore rd in Rockville is not in Baltimore city.

This is a good one on MoCo
District 6 in Gaithersburg, which includes Montgomery Village, Lake Forest Mall and Cider Mill, is described as the district “most affected by gang activity.” Police identified MS-13, Hittsquad and L3 gangs as being responsible for robberies and assaults in that area. Other police districts of “greatest concern” for gang activity include areas of District 3 in Silver Spring including around Piney Branch Road and University Boulevard and also in Wheaton, where MS-13 has a large presence. The gang One Way Hustle is known for assaults in District 5 in Germantown, according to police. “Some of the increase we’re seeing is related to local gangs feuding,” Lt. Ruben Rosario said. Assistant Chief Laura Lanham said there also was a “pretty substantial” uptick in the number of sex offenses, but police did not clarify whether they are directly related to gang activity. “Most alarming are the sex offenses,” she said. https://bethesdamagazine.com/bethesda-beat/police-fire/county-police-report-violent-gang-related-crime-rise/ |
Nice try, read to the end (guys were from Baltimore, but stuff went down in Rockville etc) United States Attorney Robert K. Hur commended the FBI, the DEA, the Montgomery County Police Department and the Baltimore Police Department for their work in the investigation. Mr. Hur commended the U.S. Postal Inspection Service; the City of Rockville Police Department; |
doesn't say that was gang related. |

I think there was mafia in Rockville. There was a restaurant in a warehouse area that I would pass sometimes. The cars were outside at all hours and all luxury vehicles. It seemed strange to have that many expensive cars parked outside a crappy restaurant in a warehouse district in the daytime.
There is also the Russian mob. Some live in McLean. Do they count as being in a gang? |

From last year
ROCKVILLE – The Public Safety (PS) and Health and Human Service (HHS) Committees for Montgomery County met on Jan. 23 to receive an update on gang activity and gang prevention services in the county. Police, state attorneys and many public institutions were called up to speak about their results and what they are doing to combat gang violence. According to county officials, gang-related crime, other than homicides, has remained relatively consistent over the past five years. Several years ago, the county experienced a significant increase in gang-related homicides. |
Doesn't state that something went down in Rockville. it does mention Rockville, but it also mentions VA and WVA. So I guess VA and WVA are infested with gangs, too.
