but why? she wasn't going to be besties with a girl #989873 her brother happened to bring up that evening. i mean, i am not a fan or anything and i can easily see how she could be unpleasant but i see no reason to hate on her for what she did here.

I think if you know your brother is a narcissist who goes after young naïve girls (and you sell yourself as very feminist) then ripping on the girls instead of your brother is not a great look.

where did she rip on the girl? she exchanged small talk and left. she cannot babysit every woman her brother dates and i am also pretty sure, the girl wouldn't have listened to her anyway.

I hope he gets help, but I doubt he will.

His sister has probably been trained by him on how to behave. Narcissists are good at training those around them to do what they want.

I don’t feel bad for him a bit. After Taylor wrote that song about him, he posed in photos while vacuuming a giant red scarf and also posed in a red shirt with red heart sunglasses (the kind of glasses Taylor wore during Red’s original release).

He seems like a narcissist to me or at least very insecure.

Take some responsibility for your own behavior, woman. You can legally smoke, drink, marry, procreate, sign a contract. I don't want to hear any more of your crying.

You’re right. We should raise the age to join the military to 21. Why do you think it is so low now? Gee, I wonder.

omg what was she supposed to do? invite her to thanksgiving? it was way too early to introduce her to his family anyway.

No, I think generally Maggie G is horrible, not just in this story. She's a B all round

Remember we’re relying on someone’s impressions of his sister, we’re not looking at a video. Who the hell knows what MG was actually like, let alone what she was thinking.

I think her story was important for her to tell, but I have enough experience to know the story being presented is always a matter of perspective. Her eyes, her experiences, and a way for her to work out why it still upsets her.

Thank you for this comment. We as a society need to remember that people talking about an experience is from their perspective and therefore always slightly biased. It doesn’t mean these interactions didn’t happen but an outside observer with no emotional ties watching this might see it very differently.

Who is the mentor? Gwyneth Paltrow?

Man, if Jake really said half this he’s just unbearably cheesy. No wonder he courts interns.

Yes, earlier in this thread it said she introduced JG to Taylor Swift.

I am kind of tired of these stories where on Day 2 she's feeling anxious and insecure and pressured and can't just be like no, chill out man. No, not going to the party with you. Nope, not interested.

I mean have some level of ownership of what you want to do and don't want to do. I feel like that's the bare minimum. From the man's perspective, he's flirting, she's responding, he continues flirting. I mean say yes or say no, don't just passively drift along. Why don't women feel like they can do that? It's bizarre.

I somewhat agree with this. However, she’s an intern and he’s the star of the play and a huge celebrity. If she said no, not interested he could absolutely get her dropped (much like he did for the second run). I have a friend who works in entertainment (television not theater though) as a director and all of these actors are insane and unprofessional.

His family sounds snooty and insufferable.
