Did Ellen Greenberg’s fiancé kill her?

It sounds to me like the grieving parents are trying to convince themselves and the world that it isn’t suicide, not because suicide is not possible or even not indicated here but because it’s sometimes easier to focus on exterior factors (solving a mystery, finding justice) than dealing with the real tragedy of a depressed, probably mis-medicated young woman. It is so, so sad. But even that diagram of the stab wounds from several pages back, which first had me convinced it was a murder, seems more like evidence for suicide. It’s super hard to stab yourself in the mid or lower back. But not that hard to reach the back of your head or base of your skull. It looks to me like she was in a frenzy.

Yeah well, how do you explain that the knife was in her right hand when she was left handed.

It’s super hard to stab yourself with your non dominant hand. PERIOD. I don’t care how mismedicated you are. Why would you use the wrong hand? That makes zero sense.

This was MURDER.

I think there is some from the greenberg camp here.

It’s still not physically possible for her to have done it.

Especially the stab wound to the head that occurred after her heart stopped beating.

Her poor parents.

+1 I just read that some of the wounds were from the back? How could she have done that?

For sure. Or friends/family of the new wife defending her choices.

I agree with this. I don’t think we will ever know for sure. But I don’t think her fiancé murdered her, I think it was a very bizarre and impulsive suicide. And if he did murder her, there is just not enough proof. I don’t think there ever would be unless he confessed to someone.

Yep, definitely a lot in the Greenberg camp. It’s especially weird that out of nowhere they brought a zombie thread back to life and keep telling us to watch the Oxygen documentary. Then there’s the “poor Ellen’s parents, they just can’t cope that their daughter was suicidal” nonsense. (As opposed to the reality of them wanting and deserving justice.)

I’m guessing Sam’s starting to feel the heat somehow.

But either way, we’ll get the definitive proof you seem to need after he loses control next time.

No I meant her family. Or someone who is just completely obsessed.

Someone is definitely triggered and personally offended that people in the world question whether this was a suicide or murder.
But It’s not clear which makes this a fascinating topic of conversation and tv coverage.

I’m the PP above. I hadn’t read that anywhere, so I don’t know whether it’s true, but I am left-handed and I do many, many things with my right hand. Most lefties do, because many things are not made to use with the left. In my case, this included chopping with a knife, cutting with scissors, batting, bowling.

I have followed this thread since its inception and always came out on the side of murder. I don’t feel that way anymore. It’s certainly possible, and murder is more interesting than suicide, but it isn’t a sure thing at all.

It would be the most miraculous suicide in the history of suicides. When you hear hoofbeats, think horses not zebras.

I’m left handed, too. I use my left hand to brush my teeth and with knives.

Did you see the pictures of the wounds in the post? How the F&ck would she stab herself in the back of the head and neck??? That medical examiner is smoking crack.

So I actually looked up self stabbing by suicide case studies and the most I'm seeing is 3 stab wounds to the chest. 0 reported to the back of the head or neck

Exactly! You could stab yourself once or twice, maybe three times and then the pain would be too much. Even taking into account hesitation wounds, it’s too much and physically impossible.
