Did Ellen Greenberg’s fiancé kill her?

I’ve always thought she either took too many anxiety pills or her meds were laced with fentanyl - causing a psychotic, schizophrenic, paranoid break.

Or ... go Occams Razor. The fiance did it. Cases everyday where the BF or DH did it. Zero cases in which someone stabbed their own self to death because of anxiety meds. Autopsy found trace amounts of yhe drugs, indicating she took them as prescribed. Don't go looking for zebras etc.

If the guy claims he was at the gym, is there any way to prove it? Witnesses? Security cameras? His phone? Is there any way to trace his phone?

I also think that stabbing yourself multiple times in the afternoon in your kitchen is one of the weirdest way of killing yourself. Unless she suddenly had some kind of a psychotic break.

I read that security cameras showed he was where he said he was. So he could have killed her, gone to gym and returned, or he could have gone to gym, retuned and killed her. Either way!

That’s not a great theory.

Exactly. I’m sure he DID go to the gym. But they have only his word that the door was bolted from the inside. Her laptop was found open and looking at wedding planning sites, and there was a half eaten bowl of fruit salad in the kitchen. So while eating strawberries and reading the Knot she decided to end it all with a kitchen knife? 20+ times?

I’ve never even heard of these people and I’d say the fiancée did it. When a woman is murdered, it’s almost always her SO.

Weird part is, if he killed her (and I think he did) he was writing texts for show, and that was what he thought was good for show? "You better have a good excuse" etc? I guess that is normal/default attitude for him?

What if she did try to lock him out bc he was abusive/threatening her and he got really angry that she locked him out, sent those angry texts, and then either she finally let him in and he killed her or else he broke in/figured out how to undo the lock from the outside and killed her.

My theory^^

Yes. Obviously has connections in the legal system.

YES. Why can't they find the guy who supposedly was with him when he broke down the door? He said it was the security guard, but it was proven it was not the security guard. So it was said it must have been someone else, so who was it? Why the F did they take Sam Goldberg's word for it? They are looking at undisturbed snow on the balcony and taking his word that he knocked down the door that was locked from inside.

Her poor family!! I hope they keep fighting. I want to see this guy go down.

Ooh, I didn’t think about this but I bet you are right. Because yes those texts were creepy.

I am just now listening to the 911 call via the podcast CrimeJunkie and I am disgusted by the way the fiancé is talking. He calms down when told, he seems so hesitant to do CPR, and the way he announces that there is a knife in her chest….I don’t know if I can ever believe it wasn’t him. I suggest listening to the episode or recording if you haven’t already.

The fact that his new wife is still with him is so so creepy. How desperate can a woman be?

That woman’s poor family. The fiancé totally did it.
