2022 DMV Girls Outlook

PVI can’t beat any teams in ISL AA and HC and Bullis are perennial ISL AA bottom feeders. This list is a joke.

PVI has never had a good girls program. Some thought they might be improving with a large number of Pride ‘23 players but that has not panned out at all. PVI has no place on any list of top teams. Neither does HC, which doesn’t even have a coach and only one strong class (‘22), or Bullis which may have girls committed to some impressive D1 schools but is still not able to beat schools without any D1 committs.

PVI Girls will be good soon enough. Lots of talent in Loudoun and many are having conversations about attending. Unless you want to drive inside or around the beltway, it’s the only show in town if you live in Loudoun. The coach is nothing special, but the location alone will bring in talent for those seeking a private school education.

Loudoun parents generally aren’t private school people. They live way out there for cheaper housing and free school - Not to pay to send their daughters to private school. Those folks think Dominion and Riverside are good enough. PVI will never compete at the top levels. Not gonna happen.

This post is fake news. For years many of Loudoun County’s better players have gone to private schools and made the drive to BI and other schools. Now that PVI is closer many Loudoun families are choosing this option. The wait list and applications have grown 10x since the campus moved. LCPS has become a complete mess. The boys program is already a top five program so not hard to see the same with the girls program soon. Many are the same parents. Dulles South has been one of the best rec programs and will be a feeder to PVI.

Talk about fake news. What a joke.

Not trying to get off topic but on the boys side there are a clear top two teams and a bunch that could easily be 3-8 in the DMV so as I fact check this statement I will rule it partially true.

Looking at the first days matches, Visi, SSSAS and BI are all at the bottom of their brackets. Stone Ridge looking the best of the bunch, but not looking great for the ISL this year, after a strong '21 class graduated from those schools. St Paul's looking good to make it to the play-offs but Agnes Irwin and Bay Port looking like teams to beat.

Just looked at Tourney Machine: Are all the 10-1 scores some sort of forfeit?
