2022 DMV Girls Outlook

Those top 4 teams all lost a number of seniors. It will be interesting to see this season. STJ only lost one, but didn’t have much else except 3 good midfielders. Not sure if I would put them ahead of BI. Visi has no coach and a few returning starters. Saints has a number of players who have little Varsity experience but will be good and well coached. SR has some good starters coming back and a strong freshman class. Will also be well-coached. Should be an interesting year. No clear cut favorite. ISL will definitely have the best teams once again, however.

Whoever wrote this list is a complete and utter moron. Clueless about girls lacrosse in the DMV.

Did your DD's school not make the list? The subject of this thread is 22 Girls outlook. If you're so clued into girls lacrosse in the DMV - what is your prediction?

You weirdos are so predictable - “if you do t agree with me, your kid’s [school, club, name] must be excluded.” Yada yada yada. This list is just dumb and if you wrote it you aren’t even worth debating with.

What about public schools? Is Churchill still the school to beat in MoCo?

No one cares. It’s public school.

Sour grapes from a parent whose DD is not on a competitive school team...The exact same boy's thread has over 19k views.

Agree with the list although the top 3 can be swapped out and we'll see how these teams adjust to the loss of their respective senior classes.

Has Visi named a coach yet?

According to another thread - Bucky Morris has been named as the new Visi coach.

Winter ball at the StJ will provide an indication of where these teams stack up

Do you people understand how lax works in the off season? Things like Winter League, Fall Brawl, box league, etc are not mandatory at these schools. Many girls opt out: those who aren’t interested, those who excel in other sports during those seasons like soccer and basketball, and those whose parents want them to avoid injury or over-committing so they can go on family trips to ski or lie on a beach. You cannot base any spring predictions in these other things. It’s just worthless.

Also, ranking private, Catholic, va publics and md public teams in the same list like on the previous page is equally stupid since mist if those teams never play each other. Rank the ISL teams in one, WCAC in another and any publics by their state and size. Any list mixing these is just ludicrous.

If you're not interested in overall DMV rankings - have fun reading the "smelly gear" and the "Yorktown Lacrosse" threads.

Any reviews or reactions from the Saint James games this afternoon/evening? Maybe too early.

When will scores be posted to Tourney Machine? Who won? any surprises?

Hard to know who some of the teams are but the clear ones are Woodson and Yorktown tie, Stone Ridge has two teams who easily beat SJC and PVI, and SSSAS crushed Langley. Also appears that Visi won and Holy Child and Holton both lost but not sure who opposing teams were.

And with many camps this weekend, I know at least DD team was missing quite a few whether they went to the school they are already committed to or are still on the hunt.
