| Potomac School may sneak up on some ISL schools this year. |
Good grief you are thick if you think the only teams that matter at all are those 3. ISL is not the only league around. Most competitive, sure. But not only one in existence. GC may have had a bad game v. SR but throttled Ireton (gave up a few garbage goals with the end of the bench), who Visi barely beat. Then again with all of the 2021 grads from these programs - this spring is still a big question mark. We can assume and talk all we want but the fact is we really don't know much about teams other than our own, do we? |
| Nobody who is invested in girls lacrosse in the DMV private school world gives a hoot about GC. The only WCAC school that matters is BI and maybe St Johns a bit. Rest of WCAC is a completely different world. |
| Indoor championships next week in Pa will give us a little bit of a better picture for the Spring (although admittedly not a full one with no draws and no regular coaches, but most squads usually have a majority of their players there if COVID doesn’t impact it). |
| Visi is going to struggle this year without KMG. Say what you want about her, she's a good coach and motivator. |
| Bucky is every bit as good a coach as KMG and he gets championship level results without constantly denigrating his players. Girls love to play for him! |
It will be fascinating to see how Bucky transitions from Langley to Visi as far as his demeanor, his coaching technique, his appearance, really everything. Couldn’t imagine two schools with much more different cultures. I predict he either makes thru no more than one season or for the long haul. IOW it will be a brilliant match or a total disaster. |
| Gotta love the GC parent who describes a 20-10 loss to SR as a “bad game,” but a relatively close win over BI as a “throttle.” |
| GC is not even worth discussing. |

It sounds like the new coach on 35th Street is trying to lower expectations for a tough season. SR actually graduated 5 all-American caliber players last year, not 2. So they will need to rebuild a bit as well. Saints has incredible depth and always good coaching. GC is playing in the Baltimore winter league so they should be well-prepared. It should be an interesting season. Btw I do notice that the Visi Cubs have a 3-0 record on Tourney Machine for STJ so maybe they are better than advertised?
5? 3 maybe but to say 5 someone is smoking some good stuff |
Good grief, your reading comp is poor. First PP stated that SSSAS has won pretty much all of the ISL championships. Second PP claimed that GC would have won the conference if there were a tournament last year. Third pointed out (rightly) that GC likely would have finished fourth in the ISL. Fourth emphasized that GC isn’t in the same conference as the 3 mentioned and suggested that someone who is unaware as to what conferences teams play in probably isn’t adding value. |
| SSSAS isn’t going to be good this year. Will not win ISL. Would bet on it. |
|
Looks to be pretty accurate. Would PVI ahead of GC |
PVI couldn't beat GC even with GC playing 2 players down much of the 2nd half last year. Until they prove otherwise, they are where they belong. Maybe over SJC but PVI lost more than SJC, who lost only 1 senior, and has a basically non-existent JV so the only help can come from the 25s that come in. |
