Of course, it is doubtful that you are ready to deliver, so I suppose it could be different.

Healthy for now. We have no way of knowing what the long term effects of this virus are. Why risk it???

We need the government to step it all up. Airlines and hotels are not reimbursing people. I paid $6,000 for an apartment in Aspen to go skiing next week, I booked it through VRBO and am not going to get anything back if I cancel. Delta is also refusing to give me credit...

I don't understand where people got the idea that a pandemic was supposed to be trouble free and convenient. Jesus.

Also I bet its all the 'no government oversight' people whining! You don't want the government in your homes, churches, or workplace. Well you can stand to let the government stay back when you lose money over your random vacations as well.

Not me. I’m a fan of government regulations. I think the government should step in a lot more and get a few people vacationing as possible.

While I appreciate your abundance of caution, the CDC is still not recommending the extreme measures you're advocating. I will base my travel and recreation decisions on their actual site until they state otherwise.

You do understand that they are under pressure from the POTUS to keep the economy going. Listen to Dr Fauci very closely and you will see that he is in favor of a lot of social distancing and keeping to yourself.

Can you drive? I'd be a little nervous about restrictions on Amtrak, or getting stuck there if you start to get sick (and you can't get on a plane/train). Also, FYI, I think it maybe is a little more widespread in NYC than you'd think. I was talking to someone up there today and they know two people who are close contacts of people who tested positives. And, no, the person I talked to isn't an Orthodox Jews and isn't from New Rochelle.

Social distancing does not necessarily mean no travel. If you are suspicious of the CDC’s motives, NPR also has independent medical experts who provide a very thorough explanation. You can google NPR and “to fly or not to fly”.
