This is the only trip on this thread I would consider. Although, I’ve been to St. Kitts and Nevis and would not go back.

Totally fine right?

They already cancelled a bunch of flights today.

I would cancel. There’s a confirmed case in NYC and they’re still doing almost no testing which means it’s very likely community transmission is already happening there. Don’t go.

Nope.

What does "Nope" mean? Is it "No way would I go."? or "No need to cancel."?

It means no.

Because do you want to be quarantined or hospitalize with children in Mexico.

Mexico traveler here (I was not the one who asked for clarification on “nope.”) On what basis would you assume we would end up quarantined? We aren’t coming from, or going to, a place with an outbreak.

not mine yet. They are consolidating. I fear mine will
Be next...sounds like they are rescheduling Soo I can cancel my air bnb’s and get most of the money back if I cancel 5 days in advance. I just hope they give me a good credit because we got our tickets $289 dc-Vienna so I can’t afford a full price ticket 600-800

In laws are visiting from Ecuador for a month. Do they stay here or go back at the end of March? Also worried about their ability to return to the US.

East coast road trip college visit tour spring break (beginning of April)?

DC school trip to Nashville, mid-late April, direct flight both ways but bringing together music groups from around the country?

Different poster here. My basis would be the off chance that a traveler or employee in the all inclusive resort comes down with it or symptoms of it. The whole resort could go under quarantine like the hotel on the Canary Islands where close to a 1000 people were quarantined because an Italian tourist was diagnosed with it after he got home from his trip. The hotel was quarantined even though he was no longer there because anyone there could have been exposed.

Or the off chance that myself or kids got ill. I would prefer to be in the United States, not a Mexican hospital.

Yes, they are off chances but in the bigger scheme of life, missing one trip is not going to be a big deal in my world.

Keep the plans for now. Re-assess as we get closer to April and see what the situation where you're traveling to is like. Only book refundable hotels/AirBnB or hold off on booking accommodations altogether.
