No one is demanding - perhaps people had other events/work/travel and could not make it. This is youth soccer - not all that important. If your kid is good enough they'll make the team, but that also won't change the skill level of your kid. |
This conversation is about as McLean as you can get. |
100%. Toxic. |
Yup, not projecting strength here trying to hide everything. |
So you aren't friend with any other MYS parents who could fill you in? Seems odd. |
Sure. Turn it around on people's kids because you didnt go. That is really low class. You weren't traveling anywhere and we are ALL busy. We make it work as best we can. If it isn't that important to you, you can do without the information you seek, can't you? "See here, Olivia/Jackson, this is youth soccer. It isn't important to mommy and daddy." |
+100% on this my friend! You hit the nail on the head. Mys is weak and didn’t get any good coaches on board. They can hide their information and incompetence for a while but everyone will soon see how weak they are. |
TSJ 2.0 |
Yup, they are going to tank quickly. Huge mistake selling out their girls program for MLS Next Jr. |
Well some make youth soccer like life or death situation. I wonder if it is a psychological problem. |
Town hall didn't add a ton of information that hasn't already been communicated elsewhere. They explained why they made the decision to leave the union and go to GA (ECNL treating MYS poorly, lack of control over technical direction & playstyle for ECNL players), and an overview of the leagues the various boys and girls teams will play in. GA Director drove from NC to give an overview of GA and what GA is trying to be; including emphasizing that former GA players have gone on to USWNT success. MLS Next TD gave an overview of MLS Next 2 and what they're trying to be. There were questions about coaches, roster sizes, future plans. I'm not unbiased, but I thought JH and MYS leadership did a good job explaining their decisions. There were statements along the lines of 'now that we're not getting bullied by ECNL, we now control our destiny and will no longer be forced into dramatic changes every year.' That is music to my ears as there's no way the Union settles down and avoids changes over the next few years. |
If I'm tracking right, an ask for a summary of last night's town hall immediately devolved into insults from some wound-up a******, an equally enthusiastic group calling that person out, and then drifted towards a growing consensus that MYS is a sinking ship. Seems like a quick rundown would have been easier. |
Came in right before the post. Thank you 09:46! |
It seems more that ECNL is up everyone’s necks and trying to control everything from Coaching to Forcing alliances. Good move for MYS. ECNL is kickball soccer except for a handful of clubs |
Thank you for the summary. Did they mention when coaching slates might be announced? |
