That seems pretty good as a start. Long live ppa.

Arlington 2010s lol continue to strive to mediocrity. Don't sleep on PPA Green 2010G though they were #60 nationally and #2 in MD behind BSC. Basically the whole team mostly MoCo girls make up the McLean 2010 GA team following their coach, a woman! Across the river to McLean...

I'm paying attention McLean you may be last to laugh in NoVA when only VDA and FVU are better in year 1 at this age group, that's a huge accomplishment for GA in Nova!

What do you expect from Arlington 2010? Pretty average talent with a few studs but U16 teams need real coaching. Tactics and training matter.

I assume they will drop those mys green team players who had been rostered before ppa came over. Definite weak links in the chain, from what I saw.

Zero studs leads to losing to a first year GA team. Studs would have left long ago for better tactics and training. PEAK bros have the solution I’m sure 👍

I would have assumed ARL would have stepped things up with a new coach and being ECNL. Maybe not!?

A new coach is supposed to step things up?

Yes, if the old one wasn't up to the task. I also heard he made significant cuts from the existing squad.

New coach doesn’t have 11v11 experience. He will need some time to get used to it.

The problem is that coaches aren’t “graded” with the best coaches then moving to higher teams. Coaches come in and coach the lower teams. After a few seasons if somebody leaves they might move up. Stick around for 15 years and you might get a top team whether you deserve it or not.

They hired an ECNL coach who has never coached 11v11 before?

But the personal training experience is just as important

Claims to have coached at VA Union ECNL but those claims can’t be substantiated.

On a side note, looks like FVU 09s tied VRSC in the friendly over the weekend. Scrimmages don’t mean much. Still have to wait and see if the coaches can improve the 09s with lost and new players.

Scrimmage was extremely telling that the FVU 09's or rather former NVA have a lot of work to do. They scored in the first couple minutes from a corner kick. Real score was 2-1 VRSC Win with a goal unaccounted for.
