“apparently not specifically aware” is how I describe McKnight on any given topic.

Apparently is not an investigative report statement.

There's no way she knew because she'd have never allowed that promotion to go through.

Then she is grossly incompetent because she promoted someone whose staff consistently rated him very poorly. Those survey results are publicly available and therefore available to McKnight at the time of his promotion.

Or a good manager who delegates to her subordinates.

It's a credit to her leadership skills! These people are just haters.

Her defense is her own incompetence? As a leader of you hear about something important “swirling around”, your job is to follow up. Not exercising due care is not a defense.

So she's using the Reagan defense?

She’s using both the Clinton defense and the Reagan defense. Her first line of defense is Clintonian, parsing what “active investigation” means in the context of promoting someone that she admits she knew there were concerns “swirling around”. The second line of defense is Reagan, claiming that she is absolved because of plausible deniability because she did not follow up about the things she heard “swirling around”.

Regan just played a doddering old fool and claimed he didn't remember.

She doesn't have to since she wasn't even the super when all this stuff went down.

All this swirling around nonsense sounds like a tween group chat.

Pretty good description for how MCPS is run.

"Swirling around" was something one of the MCPS employees said, so I still think it's a better description for the MCPS CO. Thanks for your input though. You're going to have a busy night with all the bombshells in that report. My advice is to lay off the coffee for as long as you can because it becomes counterproductive sooner than you realize. Best of luck.

Murphy left Dawson and Redmond Jones on leave as is Morris

In the upper right of the MCPS website there is now a big red button to "Report Fraud, Waste and Abuse". The linked page has information for the Montgomery County Office of the Inspector General, Lighthouse services, and Safeschools.

The last page of the released reporting is haunting.

“Every member of MCPS leadership that we interviewed expressed genuine remorse, accountability and indicated they have learned from this situation.”

What the heck does that mean?!? Sounds like a young child saying “sorry, I didn’t mean to” as a way to avoid punishment. These leaders never apologized for me for letting this bully continue to victimize his employees.

Will there be departures and people put on leave every few days to see what will get people off their backs?

+1 sounds like my preschooler when she says "I PROMISE I'll never do it again"

The fact of the matter is none of the allegations have been determined to be true.

Conclusion (page 29):

"Except for the altering of the [] Investigation timeline by [] which had no impact on the promotion, no one involved with [] promotion violated any MCPS policy or engaged in any intentional misconduct."

So the conclusion is nobody did anything wrong.
