| ^^You are obviously easy to please! Thats a good thing in DC. |
| Walked by LT at around 5pm past a giant Escalade, with MD plates, idling in front of the front doors. So typical to so many Capitol Hill schools, but this was especially brazen. |
| Was it also double parked? That would be typical |
| Bonus points if it had music playing where every other word is m-f or just eff. |
|
| Huh? |
Well My children were going to Oyster Adams Bi-Lingual- With my last child I was place on Bed rest so I could not logistically get to Calvert Street everday because of My husbands schedule- I tried my Neighborhood school which is Miner- My son was in Kindergarten- no complaints. Now my daughter was in the 1st grade- In the first month her teacher called out 5 times- I had enough when there was no damn sub-I so happened to drop my daughter off late around 9 and noticed kids in her class were just walking around. This was my problem. I reserached DC schools in the neighborhood that had available space and Ludlow was open. I have no problems at all. Honestly I think Ludlow is a pretty stable dependable public school- I thought about taking them out to a so-called stonger performing school. But I think staying at same school during the early years is just as important- You create childhood best friends-remember teachers and the school knows your child- To me this balances Ludlow. It's not to big and they are stable. Middle school is now my forefront research obligation- We all know those 11-12-13 yrs are really funky. |
Sorry- That was my super ghetto cousin that works for DC Gov't picking up my kids-I'll be sure to make sure the music is turned down next time. GET A LIFE---LOL |

Just wondering if anyone has expressed these views on LT with Principal Cobbs? She can't ignore the overwhelming negative responses about her one-on-one interactions with parents. At least, she should change her attitude.
If she's not going anywhere, perhaps she can be made aware? What principal would continue acting like this if they thought the entire community surrounding her school was saying these things about her. Has she tried to be more open? It doesn't make sense... |
| yay! LT made the calendar. |

Somebody give a logical explanation for the massive drop in scores between 2010 and 2011. What happened?

Funny. Same thing here. At J.O. Wilson

|
But not at Maury
http://www.greatschools.org/washington-dc/washington/28-Maury-Elementary-School/?tab=test-scores And not at Brent http://www.greatschools.org/washington-dc/washington/89-Brent-Elementary-School/?tab=test-scores And not at Watkins http://www.greatschools.org/washington-dc/washington/36-Watkins-Elementary-School/?tab=test-scores And not at Watkins http://www.greatschools.org/washington-dc/washington/56-Tyler-Elementary-School/?tab=test-scores So strange that both J.O. Wilson and Ludlow Taylor were also flagged for very high erasure rates on the Dc Cas answer sheets in 2010. |

Does anyone have anything negative to say that does not include:
-The principal -erasure rates -"OOB" children -The Maryland Problem Saying the same thing over and over rephrased is annoying. We get it. You don't like LT. If comments are going to be negative could they maybe be new and innovative? |
| It is not that I don't like LT. I don't like cheating scandals being swept under the rug. I don't like that the dishonest people who perpetrate cheating scandals and thereby cheat the kids they are supposed to teach are still out there and were financially rewarded for their cheating. That's what I dislike |
