My guess is everyone wants their kids to stay at the same schools they are assigned to now without split articulation and the lowest possible FARMS rate. None of the options do this for everyone.

The W schools care more about Farms. My concern is the course offerings with the reduced staffing and regional programs.

High farms = low property value.

High farms $1.6 million https://redf.in/p99FKD
Low farms $1.6 million https://redf.in/W8mKyq

$1.5 and $1.7 don't lose credibility on something dumb

Both of the above linked homes sold for just under $1.6 million

You don't round up to 1.7 from 1.58. Where did you study math, Whitman?

I personally know an outstanding student in graduate school for … wait for it …. math. Einstein grad. Please don’t act like the kids there aren’t being educated, don’t get high level math etc. you all act like they get nothing and that’s not the case.

That said, just not sure exactly what the Einstein families want with regard to Woodward.

Nope, fine with switching HS assignment and fine with a higher FARMS rate if it helps bring down FARMS at the highest-FARMS middle or high schools (we're currently zoned for DCC schools around 35-40% but would be fine with going up to 45-50% in the name of greater equity... but annoyed if none of the richer schools are doing the same.) And even okay with split HS articulation (although I don't love it.)

All I want for my own family's sake is to avoid split MS articulation and stay at our walkable neighborhood middle school. (And to keep the DCC but that's not the boundary study.) Beyond that I am happy to support whatever seems fairest for the county as a whole.

apparently they want MVC and an arts program. and one wants to not reduce overcrowding at Einstein in order to keep more classes.

I'm sorry what does anyone do with 5 bedrooms? Is that multi-generational housing? Do a lot of people actually have 4 kids?

Seriously? 3 kids and a guest room. 2 kids and a guest room + office. 4 kids…
Obviously not a must have but not hard to imagine why someone would want.

We have a 5 bedroom and 2 kids. The 2 "extra" bedrooms are my office/guest room (dual purpose), and the other is spouse's office.

Redfin estimates say $1.5 and 1.7 when you click. Where did you learn how to read? Oakland terrace?

Why do you care about equity? You think those people care about your kids?

It’s like 2 or 3 loud people who think what they want is what everyone should want. Their opinions are likely not representative of the entire community and MVC lady’s kid is old enough that the changes will not directly affect her.

Oh right, Redfin estimates, known for being the best way to know the value of a home s/

Of course students go for math but why not have the exposure in hs to make things easier? And, why not go to your max potential. Are you not paying attention.

No, they need it and the changes will impact us if we only have Einstein as an option for one of the kids. Don’t you plan your kids classes years out?

And, it’s not just MVC, but the lack of ap science, computer science and engineering classes. There is very little stem. We want stem.

There is no such thing as equity.
