Which option does everyone prefer and why? Let's get back on track.
My guess is everyone wants their kids to stay at the same schools they are assigned to now without split articulation and the lowest possible FARMS rate. None of the options do this for everyone.
Nope, fine with switching HS assignment and fine with a higher FARMS rate if it helps bring down FARMS at the highest-FARMS middle or high schools (we're currently zoned for DCC schools around 35-40% but would be fine with going up to 45-50% in the name of greater equity... but annoyed if none of the richer schools are doing the same.) And even okay with split HS articulation (although I don't love it.) All I want for my own family's sake is to avoid split MS articulation and stay at our walkable neighborhood middle school. (And to keep the DCC but that's not the boundary study.) Beyond that I am happy to support whatever seems fairest for the county as a whole.
