There is no proof, no evidence that John O’Keefe was hit by a car at all, let alone the vehicle belonging to Karen Read.
It seems way more likely that he slipped and fell backwards while walking across the grass, which was slippery because a light layer of snow had fallen. It’s also very possible that the German shepherd ran up, jumped up at him, and he extended his arm to ward off the dog, lost his balance and fell straight backward, hitting his head on the frozen ground and incurring the fatal head injury. This explanation accounts for the scratches on his arm and also accounts for his position with his head toward the road when he was found the next morning. No evidence of a collision with a vehicle and other viable possibilities translates to too much reasonable doubt for conviction. |
I think the prosecution is finished but the defense has barely begun. |
Exactly. She'll walk. |
As she should based on the case presented. It’s a bad case and should not have been retried. Even though she probably did it (but I don’t think she meant to or even knows/remembers she did.) |
She did it. She’s just another Casey Anthony. |
There’s no evidence that John O’Keefe’s injuries were caused by a car, so it is likely that she did not do it. It is more likely that he fell backward on the frozen ground, which is what much of the evidence points to. Unfortunately, it does happen that people who have been drinking are unsteady on their feet and have falls. This happened to a young man I knew from high school. He was a freshman in college, out drinking and having fun with friends. He lost his balance, fell backwards onto his head and died. It was heartbreaking for all his family and friends. The friends who were with him and saw it happen can never forget it. |
Even the prosecutions witnesses (the “experts” not the townies who are in on it) have said the prosecutions theory is impossible. This is a dumpster fire of a case. |
The defense case thus far has been weak and laughable - a person could almost feel sorry for Karen Read if she wasn't so loathsome in her conduct pending trial. |
The Commonwealth case and their witnesses have received a lot of criticism. Lawyers of DCUM (specifically I suppose prosecutors and defense attorneys): how would you have presented the CW case if it was yours? |
I can’t believe anyone feels sure she did it when the cop homeowners just happened to destroy their phones on a military base, remodeled their house twice, got rid of their dog, and their Ring camera coincidentally was erased for that night. Please. |
don't you have mayflower relatives to go pray to or something? |
Defense melting down, defense witnesses bolstering prosecution's case, defense screaming for mistrial with prejudice - DENIED . . . Karen and her team are hearing the bus to Framingham warming up in the back of the courthouse . . . |
Details please. |
Dp. It’s just the anti KR troll. Probably cop related. It’s a terrible case for the CW. She might be responsible but the cops screwed up so bad that we will never know. |
Pp. Oof bad day for CW. they were able to show that her taillight was broken in police custody. Not good.
