Now, you're arguing for grade year (which I know what you really don't want) But here you are AGAIN, because you want to placate college coaches.

Aug birthdays playing on their grade in school team is 100% allowed by the rules and has nothing to do with Grade Year aka GY

BUT your argument for it is based on what college coaches want. Take that to its conclusion means just do GY. Force kids to play up and you simply disadvantage most of them sending them to the bench/less playing time.

Nope college coaches will get 99.9% of what they want if Aug birthdays play on their grade in school team.

Holdbacks aka cheaters can play on a team their age allows. They are also free to attend college id camps. They're not going to pad their stats playing against younger players.

Clubs aren't forcing misaligned kids to play up. I've seen a club NOW/ALREADY go both ways AND asking the families. One decided to play up (wanted to stay on grade) while another is going on age (to get to a higher team). Makes sense. They are finding stronger competition/exposure in both cases.

Player safety and fairness are main reasons they always go with a 12 month window and don't go by grade. In addition to DOB being officially documented.

The more you look at it the more it makes sense. Print it out and use it next time a parent asks what team their kid should play on this fall. It quickly weeds out the holdback nonsense and also makes it easy if all you have is grade and a birth month.

Completely false. Easier to go up an age group as they get older, especially after puberty. Differences in age groups lessens over time. And unnecessary to switch because college coaches said they don't care what age group you are in and ECNL Guy pointed out that you can get twice the showcases playing on age.

Why do you care so much about misleading Aug births only? Targeting much.

The issue us that age guy wants older players to play down against younger ones. When you add grade to US Soccers eligibility matrix it makes it impossible for him to try and sneak in playing down.

Even more of an issue to age guys play down agenda is if Aug birthdays play on their correct grade in school team. This is because when Aug birthdays play on their correct grade in school team everyone on the field is the same graduating year. (except holdbacks) Which ultimately is what college coaches want when recruiting/scouting players.

Now, you're arguing for grade year (which I know what you really don't want) But here you are AGAIN, because you want to placate college coaches.

Aug birthdays playing on their grade in school team is 100% allowed by the rules and has nothing to do with Grade Year aka GY

It's on 100 perfect allowed to only have one youth age group but that isn't happening either.

No team in DMV is forcing kids to play up and no team is offering parents to choose playing up. Therefore this argument is academic, aka pointless.

Name on DC are club that allows players to choose to play up ? If you can't, your argument to for e grade year is pointless.

How about I provide links to team rosters for this fall once they're available. That way you can see the coincidence of all players with the same graduating year.

If I provide a club name you'll just say "no they're not" so its pointless.

Those lists are just for ECNL aren't even accurate now and some players leave it blank. So the vast majority of clubs don't have public rosters with grade at all. In the end you'll share ones that are GY and your opponents will share those that aren't. That will only prove that in the end it remains case-by-case -- just like last time (5% Skye Eddy parent advocate said at the time) and will follow with what many clubs SAY they are doing (like ECNL dude).

You also won't know if a player was forced up based on grade or earned it based on playing ability.
