ICE Shooting in Minneapolis

I'd be curious to know how many individual posters are defending this and how many are just the same poster(s) over and over again....

The clearly untrained ICE officer murdered her. Video doesn't lie. Trump and Noem do.

The video does not show "murder" It shows a woman who blocked police officers in her car (an extremely brazen act), driving off to avoid arrest, and a panicked police officer who overreacted in a split second decision

Murder.

Unlawful homicide. Not murder.

Extrajudicial killing.

I suspect this might be where a court lands.

An ex-FBI agent provided analysis on CNN, underscoring there is law, policy, and judgment that ultimately come into play here, and the multiple videos from different angles could go either way—meaning there’s no clear evidence other than the end result: a tragic incident.

eye witness accounts support the assertion that ICE was in the wrong.

I’m sure.

But courts tend to evaluate all the evidence, and the various angles of the videos paint a more complicated picture than what any one witness (or even multiple witnesses) could have possibly seen from their limited vantage point.

All I’m saying is cnn has posted a number of things providing an analysis that points to gray areas rather than a clear cut case. And courts tend to evaluate the entire situation and err on the side of not overreacting when it comes to law enforcement.

This most certainly is not the same situation as George Floyd.

FTR, I’m a lefty liberal who doesn’t support anything this administration is doing…but I think CNN’s coverage/analysis is seeking to depoliticize the incident and highlight the complexity of the situation through the lens of the law, policy, and judgment.

Please be kind to actual police by not calling this masked thug a "police officer"

Police have protocol and body cams because their primary aim is to serve the residents.

ICE is outside U.S. laws. They have no obligation to citizens. That's why the Trumpers used them as their primary weapon.

If they are "police" name the "officer" and have a review as is protocol

Murder.

DP. Probably manslaughter.

I’ve reported many yesterday and this morning. Maybe mod will check IPs.

FTR, I’m one of the posters referencing the CNN coverage and I am not defending “this.”

I saw a video, she started driving forward with an officer in front of her.

Watch this forensic analysis and you will see clearly what happened. There is no disputing this was cold-blooded murder. I mean, I guess you can go ahead and close your eyes or claim it’s “fake news”

I don't think she was intentionally trying to ram someone, but she could have easily hit the officer who was in front of her car.

She did hit him. He had to go to the hospital after.

She was trying to escape and didn't care if anybody got run over. Use of deadly force is legally justified if the LEO feels he/she is in an imminent threat of substantial bodily injury or death.

Exactly.

Has to be only one or two posters. That level of stupidity is a small exclusive club.

Better version. There’s no disputing what happened.

Sure looked like murderer to me. The ICE officer shot with intent to kill, or at least with full knowledge that it could.

She died more of a hero than those ice officers could ever dream to be. These guys have to know that their jobs as pedophile protection officers can’t last forever

How is a protester who chooses to block in officers with her car a "hero"?

Video shows she was waiving previous ice vehicles past her . And those vehicles did pass. She was not blocking anybody. She was clearly on an ice pad. But since these yahoos are from all over maybe they don’t know how actual ice ( under a tire) works.

Links to these videos please, because this isn't what an eyewitness said.
