Video shows she was waiving previous ice vehicles past her . And those vehicles did pass. She was not blocking anybody. She was clearly on an ice pad. But since these yahoos are from all over maybe they don’t know how actual ice ( under a tire) works.

But courts tend to evaluate all the evidence, and the various angles of the videos paint a more complicated picture than what any one witness (or even multiple witnesses) could have possibly seen from their limited vantage point.

All I’m saying is cnn has posted a number of things providing an analysis that points to gray areas rather than a clear cut case. And courts tend to evaluate the entire situation and err on the side of not overreacting when it comes to law enforcement.

This most certainly is not the same situation as George Floyd.

FTR, I’m a lefty liberal who doesn’t support anything this administration is doing…but I think CNN’s coverage/analysis is seeking to depoliticize the incident and highlight the complexity of the situation through the lens of the law, policy, and judgment.

The video does not show "murder" It shows a woman who blocked police officers in her car (an extremely brazen act), driving off to avoid arrest, and a panicked police officer who overreacted in a split second decision

Not if the LEO intentionally puts themselves in danger in direct defiance of their training and department policy, which is what this ICE ‘officer’ did by standing in front of a running, moving vehicle. He created the danger, the use of force r isn’t justified and certainly not the two head shots point blank through the driver side window as the vehicle moves past him and he is in NO DANGER.

This ICE ‘officer’ committed murder in broad daylight on video and we can all see that - those of us who are rational and know the law, like other law enforcement officers and former and current prosecutors like me.

Because the murderer is a federal agent, should the state of Minnesota bring criminal charges the US Attorney has the power to invoke the supremacy clause, remove any state prosecution to federal court and summarily dismiss the charges. Or any federal prosecution that successfully achieved conviction could be immediately pardoned by the current WH resident.

I would suggest given that there is no statute of limitations on murder that Minnesota take it’s time on the investigation and file charges on January 21, 2029.

Yes, the ice agent had already put his hand on the gun trying to block the vehicle when it was in reverse. He had zero intention to let this poor woman drive away. Either they dragged her out of the car or kill.

The officer seemed to move out of the way, but reached over awkwardly to shoot her.

I'd ordinarily grant police officers a very broad interpretation of the benefit of the doubt. But that's because the nature of their jobs forces them into dangerous and difficult situations.

But these ice officers weren't forced into this situation.

The officer that reached over, was not the one who shot her. watch the video. the officer who shot her had been filming coming up from passenger side of the car to the front. He then murdered her.

She was playing games blocking traffic prior to this event.

The only thing they could have done better is use vehicles to box her in and drag the itch out.

Hopefully they will make it a priority to arrest and prosecute anyone who does what she did that day going forward.
