Pp here. I support them as well. But they are “socialist” policies. I’m tired of people saying how much they hate “socialism” when they clearly support a lot of “socialist” policies.

The interstate highway system is also socialist, as is the US Postal system, the military, the FAA and a host of other "government services"

Exactly! That’s my point. We have many “socialist” programs. They are good for our economy and our people. Which is why people who criticize Walz (and others) for being a “socialist”need to stop and think about what policies they are objecting to. My guess is that the folks who are so angry about “socialist” politicians are happy to collect their disability checks and complain loudly about potholes not being fixed.

Move to Venezuela- they love socialism

The GOP voted for George W Bush and this issue wasn't problematic. Walz's charges were reduced to reckless driving. Walz was fined $200 plus court costs, which include the costs of the police alcohol test. He no longer drinks alcohol so apparently learned from this incident.

IMO - worse than the drunk driving charge is him trying to claim to be deaf to get out of it.

That was looked into and he does have hearing loss in both ears and even had surgery for it.

He can’t hear.
He almost killed someone drinking.
He left the military before combat.
He presided over lawless Minneapolis.
And he is Tampon Tim?

Wow so far this is quite a winning bunch of stats

Your lot is a joyless bunch of scolds. Good luck shitting on everyone's dad, a hotplate making social studies teacher and football coach. You look at this dude and start screaming, "tampons, tampons, tampons" and wonder why people think you're a bunch of weirdos.

This sums it up nicely.
Why is the GOP so angry all of the time?

And weird. Let's not forget that. They're weird and obsessed with transfolks and bathrooms and women's bodies.

There is no doubt she will be controlled by the far left.

I bet anyone five bucks that yesterday this person was posting that Harris was being controlled by the mega donors of the Democratic Party.

Because they tied themselves to a lying, grifting, rapist who has no sense of joy himself. They've had to compromise every principle they ever told themselves they had in order to continue to support this dirt bag. It's bound to make anyone a little cranky.

Since it got buried in the thread (understandably) the new Minnesota flag has become a point of contention for white supremacists in Minnesota. They are very upset about it and many fly the old flag as a white supremacist virtue signal.

They probably don’t want people thinking they’re in Somalia

Full blown. It's all trans in bathrooms and George Floyd/riots! That's all they got. Wait until they start hearing him speak! This is going to be delicious.

The riots and overall breakdown of law and order in our cities is where the Democrats are most vulnerable. Expect to hear about Kamala’s San Francisco and Tim’s Minneapolis nonstop for the next three months.

Did January 6th not happen? I don't understand how GOP are so concerned about some riots and not others. It's weird.

Bingo

All riots should be equally disdained regardless of the issue behind it because more often than not it's some nut job extremist thugs who don't actually care about the issue behind it....but as such should also be equally prosecuted and equally thought of as wrong regardless of the issue. It's never ok to destroy property regardless of the issue or topic period.

I agree. I read an article about The riots in MN and poor reaction time. Walz was very honest about it all and how it was not handled well. Now contrast that with Trump who still thinks January 6th was a good thing.

True - but I also know many Dems who think the BLM riots were a good thing too.

Dems supported the peaceful protests and criticized where the looting and property damage took place.

Well I'll rephrase,"I have personally spoken to more than one Dem who feels the looting and property damage was justified". But we are going off-topic now. Back to Tim Walz....honestly...I don't care how he reacted to the BLM riots because it was an extremely difficult time. I also don't care about anything he did or didn't do 20 yrs ago. I do care about his political views and social ideology which are too progressive for my taste. Not saying it's going to make me vote for Trump but I am now strongly considering staying home...and this is coming from someone who was pushing their DD to go out and vote because of the importance of voting - DD doesn't care to vote this year either. I can see her point of view.

What ideology do you find too progressive?

Uh oh one of the crazy white liberal women posting obsessively on here thinks MAGA is in panic! Sorry but conservatives aren't threatened by Tampon Tim. His crazy leftist record is more than enough ammo to use against him.

Are you 12? They are tampons. Relax.

The Somalia flag is blue and has a white five point star in the center.

Minnesota's new state flag is two shades of blue, and has a white ... I would call it an 8 point sun? -- on the left hand side.

It has certain design overlap with a LOT of country flags that are blue and have stars/suns.

Tampon Tim is not a winning nickname. He signed a law requiring all schools in MN have free period products in all bathrooms, that includes girls' bathrooms. That's a significant move for girls suffering from period poverty, and also hugely convenient in general for girls in school.

They love ignoring the results of an election so they can keep the leader in power. That's more of a Republican thing.

Or how about Canada, Sweden, Norway, Denmark or Finland? Or maybe just an NHS like England? And universal health care is such a complex beast that only 32 of the world's 33 developed nations have been able to make it work!
