Somehow she looks like a man now. |
It’s not out of left field. There was definitely a hard push in the last decade or so to diversify what is considered beautiful. Look at magazine covers and commercials. The people in them are very different than the people who used to be in them in the 1990s. Not only are the models more racially diverse, they are also far less attractive overall. They mostly look like flawed everyday people. It started with Michelle Obama. She is a talented, smart, successful woman, but she’s fairly average in terms of looks. And yet she was put on the cover of every fashion magazine I can think of. Everyone talked about how stunning and beautiful she was. Don’t you remember? So, now I walk into Target and see objectively unattractive models of all races, posted all over the walls. If I watch a commercial, there’s rarely anyone remotely attractive in it. Meanwhile, Paris and Ivanka are objectively cute women. They are not my type at all, but they are both way above average in looks. And yet, here are a bunch of people degrading their looks. I rarely see women that pretty walking around, but I see lots of women who look like Michelle Obama, though maybe a little shorter. |
They are both basically pretty, in a way that most women with access to money are. But I imagine both of them look significantly different without makeup or hair styling, which is why I think most people wouldn’t consider them attractive. There’s an awareness that their attractiveness is generic/fake. Also, I think the proportions of Ivanka’s head/neck are off - I realize many fashion models have similar, but it just makes me think of a bird. |
This is the answer. Otherwise they look like the average make-up, made-up, blondes. Nothing wrong with that. |
I disagree. They are prettier than the average rich Blonde with money. For example, compare them to Howard Stern’s wife, Beth. She’s a horse. And what about Chelsea Clinton? No amount of money could help that situation. Come on, people. They are pretty, not stunningly gorgeous, but pretty, and yes, even without make up etc. |
| I am black. Ivanka is beautiful to me, but not Paris. She is someone whose just above average looks have been vastly altered by makeup and surgery. Ivanka inherited the lovely bone structure of her mother. I think that the sister of Paris is actually far more naturally attractive. |
The fact that you are 'randomly' but REPEATEDLY selecting liberal women to compare who's looks have been scathingly nitpicked in the press is telling. You do not know really what either of these women looks like without makeup, so that is something. You sound like a man, and men have NO idea just how much makeup can do and just how many women are virtually always wearing SOME makeup. I hate to break it to some of you middle aged people posting but what is found attractive is changing, just like it always has in the course of the entirety of human history. And those of us who can't evolve will just be following in the footsteps of all the people who aged before us. I don't 'get' Billie Eilish, but I'm confident that says more about me than the people who like her! In the sense that I am not keeping up with the times. We don't get to dictate to gen z what they find attractive. The wheels of time do not stop for anyone. |
+1 My preference is a more olive tone with dark brown hair, like Salma Hayek. But if you can combine that with light colored eyes - that would be my ideal. Same coloring as Mila Kunis with finer features. Mila has a broad nose. |
| The difference in our perspectives is interesting. I am the black PP. I find Billie Eilish pretty. Her eyes are stunning and her features symmetrical. Michelle Obama is immaculately groomed and extremely stylish. Many of the black beauties lauded in the mainstream media are or were actually biracial. |
It's the drop off of the lip to throat coupled with a large top. She is like a pigeon. I think she's had a chin added by now but the outfits they lean towards in politics are not flattering. If she walked into a room as a stranger, I'd say she was a pretty but had an awkard gait. If Paris walked into a room as a stranger every head would turn and people would agree she is beautiful. This is about their made up/ well dressed presented selves. Obviously without makeup with plain clothes it could flip or who knows! |
Ivanka has had a LOT more surgery than Paris and I would argue did not inherit the best of her mother. I think Ivanka is pretty enough, but that is after a ton of work.
|
Wow! Ivanka even changed her eye color!! |
PP here, Politics have nothing to do with my examples. Most people in the public spotlight skew liberal. But I can add the Housewives to Orange County, who I believe are mostly conservative to the list of rich, Blonde women who are less attractive than Paris or Ivanka. I’m a woman who went to Penn, but was not friends, with Ivanka back when she was a liberal. She’s pretty. WITHOUT MAKEUP. Sorry to break it to you. |
+1 She inherited just enough from her mom to have a base to work with, but the her face has basically been surgically reconstructed from the eyes down at this point. |
You don't have to be sorry. No one here loses anything if she is pretty without makeup. She's not as pretty with makeup. Also now she seems to have starved herself into looking like a skeleton, which is also not helping things. Come join the Trump Fashion thread sometime if you want to defend your pal. |
